I still don't know what to think, but let's be positive (why not). Maybe he will really want to prove himself. If not, we'll find out soon enough. He ain't costing us jack, that's for sure.

Jol said something about the lack of finances and the need for an extra striker.

We have El Ham, Luis, Micky, Suk and Bodul.

What not enough strikers? With Mido it makes 6.

We really don't have enough center halves!

And one of those belongs more at an old age home... .

According to De Telegraaf, the Egyptian will earn 150.000 euros if he manages to play 20 games (not matter if as a starter or a sub), or 250.000 for 25 games. if true, Ajax has done a great job. but on a higher note, this guy deserves respect.

Those figures do not seem very realistic. Unless it's 150 K€ .....per month

I agree, he does deserve respect. Hey, maybe we could get Zlatan on loan from Barca and.....Oops, forgot about the scissors, my bad!

I think the problem is that Suk and Bodul aren't really ready. If El H gets injured, we would normally have to move Suarez to the center. He's not really that effective from there against good center backs.

So, I think Mido (hopefully) will be able to act as cover for El H.

As for the defence - in a worse case scenario we can still get Kappelhof and maybe Boilesen to slot in.

The guy finally has landed today on the training pitch, ladies and gentlemen. He (had to) choose shirt n.35, he is chubby to say the least, but I still hope he can be useful. "I have a good relationship with Jol, he knows how to pull out the best from me" is quoted saying. Hopes to be ready in two, three weeks. Good luck Mido, and good luck Ajax.

He definitely looks chubby.

Here's wishing Mido every success ...and that his success will be Ajax's success .
