Nah -- last game of the regular season -- as hard as they have worked -- I think I will sit back and enjoy the rest of this one. Whatever happens over there happens -- will keep an eye on the scoreboard though.

The sad thing is the NEC fans seem to be cheering more for Twente than their own club. Twente appears to have locked it up on a goal by Stoch. 0:2

0-2 Twente. It's over. Ajax are champions of 2nd half, Twente are champions of the Eredivisie.

Twente got a second goal -- so that looks like that -- great second half of the season for us though -- who woulda thunk we would finish so well when we were at the halfway mark -- and an ending that lets us look forward to next season with a good feeling (for a happy change). Congratulations to the boys -- job well done.

Disappointed we didn't win it when a lot of years we would have been good enough. You have to give Twente credit, though, they were the best over the course of the season and deserve it.

As disappointing as this is, there's lots to look forward to for the first time in years with this Ajax club. I believe we'll keep most of our key players (including Suarez) and should be favorites next year. And we're back in the Champions League. We have to make that count.
