Lodiero looks pretty handy :) Team have been great, days like this make me fall in love this irritating, inconsistant, wonderful club all over again :)

I'll be happy if they play like this the rest of the way. Dedicated team play today. Only downside is the yellow that Vertonghen drew near the end of the match. He misses the next match and I don't know who we slot into central defense. Also worrisome is Urby's injury (hamstring??).

oleguer and lindgren in the backline for hereenveen. or moving van der wiel in the middle. we don't have any other option. great stuff today, I am pretty satisfied although Twente were so dangerous in the first 15 mins.

A great win and 3 well taken goals and a perfectly good 4th Suarez turned down. It was great to watch
and the defence overall were good , although Anita is no left back imo but Oleguer was ok.


Orange has mentioned the only down side. Vertonghen wa superb until the 92minute and his only poor tackle a dreaded yellow so next saturday in Heerenveen it could be Wielaert!!!!!!!!!!! Please let Toby be fit.

Anyone care to explain why that was a yellow? Looked like they just got tangled up, and if the referee thought it was deliberate, it should've been red... doesn't make sense. And on the other hand, Douglas was sitting on one yellow and he got away with a pretty blatant kick on Lodeiro (foul was called, but no card).

Sorry, end of rant. Referees annoy me.

Great win today! I was not optimistic at all, but we did it. If only we could do that against the minnows.

I should note that seven youth products started today.

draws against Sparta NAC and Roda have cost us . Never mind the defeats and the Fword draw but we should have won those 3 draws especially Sparta and NAC as neither side hardly created any chances ,we gave NAC a goal!

I do not think we will catch PSV but we can still catch Twente for second .

A most enjoyable afternoon it has to be said. After a tricky start where we could have been 2 down, we controlled for long periods of the game. Jol's tactics of not playing with an out and out winger and crowding the midfield seemed to work well. The inclusion of Lindgren in a holding role seemed to give De Zeeuw more room to move forward which I think worked well.

Vertonghen was outstanding yesterday but also thought Lindgren was excellent - always looking to pick up loose balls and use it sensibly. Not always someone you will notice in a game as he does the very simple little things but these can make all the difference. To me it was him who made the 3rd goal with a great tackle after we lost the ball and a good cross to Pantelic in the box.

Great after the game to catch up with a few of the Big Game Hunters over from Ingerlaand, not you OPH as I know you are a full timer and not a Cockney part-timer

Got to get full points next week at Hereenveen and keep pressure on 2 teams above

Great victory yesterday. Just what the doctor ordered . A 3:0 shutout win against a top league side will hopefully raise play and confidence levels ; important given the tough fixtures on the horizon.

Not sure what has gotten into Rasmus, formerly the "The Invisible Man" , Lindgren , but hats off again for not quitting on himself and Ajax when he was all but buried .

I think he has always been there for the team. Enoh beat him out upon joining the club because he has better skills than Lindgren. Enoh's trouble is that he doesn't think enough and gets caught out of position leading to needless fouls. Lindgren is seldom out of position. When you weigh them against one another, it's about even.
