FdB already emulated his tactics in the two Roda matches (league and cup) when we played three in the back and pressed all over the field. Haven't seen this approach since. But to answer your question, probably not since there is a language barrier to overcome and I think he really wants to see what he can do with Athletic.

We are going a bit off topic but now that you have mentioned Bielsa I must say that he would be a dream come true for Ajax. Bielsa has always stated that he loves the Ajax style and that's the school he has emulated. Especially the Louis Van Gaal era. Take a look at this article, it makes me drool at what he could do at AJAX. A Language barrier has nothing to do with it, just look at Hiddink !

The moment has arrived: the Helmond Cup has returned to Spain's top flight, the Primera División!

Athletic Bilbao won their Copa del Rey fixture at Real Oviedo (0-1).

For the record: the Helmond Cup was in the hands of FC Barcelona (who had just smashed all Helmond Cup records with an impressive run of over 20 games) when on 19 January 2011 it suddenly went down to the Segunda División. Barça played Real Betis in the Copa del Rey, had won the first leg 5-0 and weren't really interested in the return leg, which they lost - and down went the Helmond Cup.

It stayed in the Segunda División 'til season's end... but not quite. On the very last matchday of 2010-2011 Huesca lost the cup to Albacete, who were already relegated and took the cup with them to the third tier: the Segunda B.

Now it's back in the 'Primera' after eleven months at lower levels in Spain.

Outstanding! Athletic are in the Europa League and if they retain the Cup this weekend it could end up in France by next weekend as they have an away match with Paris Saint Germain. Don't think the Cup has ever visited France before.

Oh man, you gotta love the Helmond Cup.

It was in Spain since 20 October 2010, went down to the Segunda División, then to the 'Segunda B' and seemed totally stuck on the third tier. And then, all of a sudden, it returns to the Primera División via a cup game... and six days later it's in France!

Yes indeed: Athletic Bilbao lost their Europa League fixture at Paris St. Germain (4-2). The Helmond Cup returned to France, to Ligue 1, and the first league game will be a big one: PSG (2nd) against Lille (3rd).

PSG won their game at St.-Étienne (0-1), so they keep the Helmond Cup and they also went tops in Ligue 1, because all the other top sides dropped points.

For those who want the Helmond Cup to be at the highest level and hated it when it got 'stuck' on the third tier of Spanish football, the first Helmond Cup fixture of the new season will be a scary one: Paris St. Germain travel to a club called Saint-Colomban Locminé for the Coupe de France (French Cup). Saint-Colomban Locminé is an amateur side playing on the fifth (!) tier of French football.

What if PSG f**k that one up...?

So, Paris St. Germain advanced to the next round of the Coupe de France, but don't ask how... It was 1-1 until the final minute. PSG required a last-gasp goal for a 1-2 win against fifth tier (!) side Saint-Colomban Locminé. But: they won, made it to the next round and keep the Helmond Cup. Those are the facts.
