HAHAHA *LOL* This is awesome.

F-word were 1-3 up at NAC Breda. On comes Pierre van Hooydonk, against his previous club. Pure provocation, obviously, just so that he could walk off the pitch with a win over NAC in his back pocket.

But no Sir: Diba and Jenner scored in the 90th and 91st minutes. Final score: 3-3.

Fantastic. Love it. :D

Well they might have been lucky saturday night but today the luck was with the French. Lyon 1- 0 PSV, looks like the light bulbs are on their way out. :headbang:

This weekend is AZ vs PSV, in Alkmaar.

A bit of a dilemma. AZ are now 8 points behind PSV and they're starting to lose points. I think the title is pretty much out of sight for them. So, what are we hoping for? Normally I would - of course - hope for an AZ win. But if AZ win, the only side to (probably) take serious advantage will be F-word...

Hmm.

I'd say Feyenoord has to first get three points in Groningen to be considered a serious title contender.

I don't see it happening.

Oh yeah, Feyenerd are at Groningen... Interesting one. They frequently get turned over over there...

It's gonna be a nice Sunday. We, Ajax fans, are not allowed to go Almelo (and tickets on Marktplaats.nl are too expensive). Which means I'll go down the pub for AZ - PSV (12.30), 'the Battle of the Greek Warriors' Heracles - Ajax (14.30) and Groningen - F-word (16.30).

Ko and I have just closed on a meeting of Ajax- and Feyenoord-fans at a secret location on Sunday.

Oh boy, once the police finds out about this one... :hypocrite:

Sh*t! AZ 0-2 down to PSV after 5minutes. I think its best for us if AZ go on a losing streak and allow us to get 3rd place. Can't see either AZ or Fword catching PSV if they win this one.

Okay, so from now on, here is what I'm hoping for:

1. PSV move on to grab the shield without problems (I absolutely do not want F-word to win it)

2. like DrDuncan said: AZ must continue to lose, so that we can go for 3rd

3. we absolutely stuff AZ and Feyenoord in the play-offs

I agree with each of your three points,KO. I would only add that I want us to be within striking range by 9 April's Ajax-AZ match-up.The better for this years Ajax-USA attendees.

is it true that Hiddink is leaving PSV and he will become the next Russian national team coach?. I really hope it is, if he goes it will really hurt PSV :eusa_dance:

Highly unlikely I'd say. Hiddink's camp says that it is pure speculation by Russian newspapers Vedomosti and Zhizn. Just because the Russian FA claims that they will soon announce a new coach.

But I agree with you, the farther away they put Hiddink, the better.

He had better like the cold if he takes on that job. And that's only the chill surrounding that under-performing Nat side.Add the weather and he better have a good heater.

The Australian Football Fed is still trying to secure his services past the WC. I believe they are also trying to get him on as a technical director of football which we need.

In all honesty though, I am not sure he will stay on after the WC, I think this maybe a reason Neeskens was put in as his assistant.

According to De Telegraaf; Hiddink will come with a public statement about his future this coming friday. Also, his camp now does admit that there have been talks with the Russian FA. 'Nothing signed though'.

I'd love it if the USSF chose Hiddink to replace Arena if/when Arena leaves.

Agree about Hiddink for US coach. US is not a reclamation project, but it'd be interesting to see if he could take the US to a higher level.

Yeah, that's sums up the press conference quite accurately...

A quick First Division update...

The decisive phase is ahead over there. Excelsior are tops with 58 points. VVV-Venlo are second ith 55, followed by Volendam with 54. This weekend should have been the weekend of VVV vs Volendam, but the game was called off due to the poor condition of the pitch. This game will decide which of the two may continue to chase Excelsior for the championship. The loser of VVV-Venlo vs Volendam can prepare for the promotion/relegation play-offs.

I kind of like VVV and it would be great to have Volendam back again. Whichever side may win their head-to-head game, I hope they'll overtake Excelsior. It would be a bit shit to have 'F-Word Light' back in the Eredivisie next season...

Hiddink has many options for next season, and this is one of them. It would be a great challenge for Hiddink to get the Russian football on track again. And the money is also good, of course. :X
