Nice one!

Frustrated f**king roaches... We beat them yesterday and we'll beat them on Sunday.

Would be nice if Young Ajax clinched the title. That's been a while. Things are starting to look good for them.

For the record, this is the current league table...

1. Ajax: 17-34
2. NEC: 15-30
3. FC Twente: 16-28
4. Feyenoord: 16-28
5. PSV: 15-25
6. De Graafschap: 17-24
7. Willem II: 16-20
8. Sparta Rotterdam: 17-20
9. AZ: 15-19
10. FC Groningen: 16-19
11. SC Heerenveen: 17-18
12. Vitesse: 14-17
13. FC Utrecht: 17-16
14. RKC Waalwijk: 16-9

As you can see: Young NEC still have a couple of matches in hand and three teams have the chance to be on 31 points out of 17 games, so it's quite tight. But it's starting to look good for Young Ajax, especially if they beat Young NEC in Nijmegen on Monday evening. That's a cracker.

We should have an experienced team with Sno Kennedy Silva all out of first team contension and possibly Aissati and Cvitanich may be fit for a runout.

With more players getting fit we could soon have about 26/27 1st teamers fit( big if !!! ) so the reserves will have more first teamers playing and thus stand a great chance of winning the title. This will be great but not too many of the current official 13 reserve players will likely get much playing time. (Bodul Danilo and probably Classen and Will are the only ones).

I am sorry I keep beating on about this but in fact Blind and Alderweireld have been promoted and Bodul also so that is a good record for this season and I predict young Danilo will be in the first team squad next season.

Just watched last nights highlights on Ajax Tv. Following a red card to one of their players a firework was thrown on the field and the players went off for a while.

As for our goal Shakison , the young left back raced up the wing and sent a cross into the area and it hit the arm of one of the Fworders , even though no Ajax player around. Kennedy tucked the penalty away.

Beating the Fworders is great at any level but even sweeter when its in
De Kuip( the cockroaches den)

Glad to see I am not the only one following the match.A good win, NEC equalised before we scored 2 late goals.

Aissati came on for Claasen on 60 mins , which is good to see.

Mac Intosh for Alderweireld 46mins and Manuchrayan for Bodul 73 mins, were the other subs.

Top 4 are now

AJAX 18 played 37 points

Twente 17, 31 points

NEC 16, 30 points

F word 17, 29 points

Each play 26 games so we have a good chance of finishing top.

No game for us next week.

More good injury news tonight.Enoh and Cvitanich returned to action for the reserves. They played a local non league team Rijnsburgse Boys
and the result was a 1-1 draw MacIntosh scored .

Padt,

Silva( 60 Will),Alderweireld, MacIntosh, Supusepa,

Enoh (45 Claasen), Sarpong ( 45 Schell), Sno ( 60 Lazic)

Martina(45 Hasselbaink), Cvitanich(45Bodul), Manucharyan.

So playing time for several first team squad and action for nearly all our reserves, apart from Danilo , who I believe is injured.

No league game until next Monday.

I wasn't even aware, but tonight's Young Ajax game (against Young Twente @ De Toekomst, 18:30 CET) is - once again - a direct confrontation between the #1 and #2 of the table. Meanwhile, #4 and #3 (Feyenoord vs NEC) also play each other.

That's very interesting.

Top half of the table looks like this:

1. Ajax: 18-37
2. FC Twente: 17-31
3. NEC: 17-30
4. Feyenoord: 18-29
5. PSV: 17-25
6. AZ: 17-25
7. Willem II: 18-24

If Ajax beat Twente and Feyenoord/NEC settle for a draw it really starts to look like we'll clinch that title.

1-0, Kennedy. Penalty after a foul on Martina.

The team:

Dennis Gentenaar;
Bruno Silva, Toby Alderweireld, Daley Blind, Robbert Schilder;
Evander Sno, Ismaïl Aissati, Jeffrey Sarpong;
Javier Martina, Darko Bodul, Kennedy (46' Will).

I bet SPL won't be happy with this line-up... :smallgrin.gif:
Cvitanich is not in the squad and I guess it's not a good news.

Edit 1: And 2-0, Alderweireld. :headbang.gif:
Edit 2: Well, 3-0, Bodul with an assist of Sno
Edit 3: Sarpong, 4-0.

Glad someone else follows our reserves and glad we are winning.

With about 23 first teamers now fit I did expect the line up tonight. Only bad thing Cvitanich is not involved so he wont be fit for Sunday.

I do make comments when so many first teamers play but getting them match fit for the first is most important.

In recent games we have had some of the A1 playing whereas tonight we have just 1 official reserve playing , Bodul, although all the subs are official reserves.

Last Saturday I noticed that Claasen and Danilo had to play in the A1 youth team to get a game. These 2 have played regularly for our reserves and surely they wont learn anything from going back to the youths!!!(Even worse our A1 team were thrashed 4-0 by top of the table Heerenveen )

So they can still learn. :hypocrite.gif:

5-0, Aissati. What a game...

Final score 5-1 to us. Interesting name of their scorer- Pot but this is Joran and not Menno. Any relation?

Just to add that apart from Will being a sub for Kennedy Danilo came on for Bodul after 64mins and Manucharyan for Aissati on 68 mins.

Table shows we are well clear at the top with 7 games to play.

Ajax played 19 40 points

Fword 19 32 points

Twente 19 31points

NEC 18 30 points

The only relation lies in the fact that both of us were at De Toekomst this evening.

I just returned from my first Young Ajax home game of the season and I had a marvellous time. Quite a hatful of first teamers in the team, but what the hey. Great goals, some very nice football, cosy, laid-back atmosphere (Marco van Basten was also on the stands, chatting with Sonny Silooy), quite a lot of people there.

The first goal was a penno. It was awarded to Martina, who was a contstant threat to Twente. The defender should actually have been sent off. Kennedy converted.

The second goal was a very good, low, long-range shot from Toby Alderweireld. It took a bit of a deflection. Goalkeeper had no chance.

Third goal was very nice: a very good thru-ball from Sno to Darko Bodul, who let it bounce once and then rammed it home with his left. Great goal.

Fourth goal was even better: some very good one-touch football in midfield, with a free passage for Jeffrey Sarpong as a result. Goalkeeper saved his first attempt, but Sarpong picked up the loose ball and scored.

Fifth goal: a beauty. Good dribble from Aissati, followed by a short turn and an absolutely fantastic long-range shot from 20, maybe 25 yards out. Goal of the evening. Must have felt good, just like the applause he got when Manucharyan replaced him, immediately after the goal.

Aissati was a very pleasant surprise: energetic, strong on the ball, very eager. He played for 70 minutes and seems close to 'first team form' now. I also liked Blind and Alderweireld in the heart of defence. And Martina! I never really noticed it in Ajax-1, but he was fast like a rocket. Ajax played well in midfield and 'launched' him over the left flank many times.

Sarpong had a good one. Silva was unremarkable. Sno did not seem interested.

Very good win and a very enjoyable evening. I'll definitely be there again for Young Ajax vs Young Heerenveen on March 16th.

The table in full:

1. Ajax: 19-40
2. Feyenoord: 19-32
3. FC Twente: 18-31
4. NEC: 18-30
5. PSV: 18-28
6. Willem II: 19-27
7. Sparta: 19-26
8. AZ: 18-25
9. De Graafschap: 19-24
10. SC Heerenveen: 19-24
11. FC Groningen: 19-22
12. Vitesse: 17-21
13. FC Utrecht: 19-20
14. RKC Waalwijk: 19-9

Starting to look really good now...

Another win tonight 2-1 v Utrecht. They scored first then Bodul and Claasen scored in the second half.

Padt.

Silva(65 Kappelhof), Alderweireld(65 Supusepa), Blind(65 Hasselbaink),
Will,

Claasen, Sousa Campos, Sarpong,

Martina, Bodul, Manucharyan,

Yes the last named played 90 mins !!! A proper young team with Silva getting some time as he may well play for the first team on Sunday(VdWiel suspended).

This was a good performance and after the subs we actually had only
3 proper defenders and they are all full backs.

After tonights games we are well clear.

Ajax 43 points

NEC 33 points

FWord 33 points

Twente 32 points

All played 20 , 6 games to go.

we lost 3-2 to late goal by Bonaventure Kalou, not exactly a youth !!

Fword won but we are still 7poits clear.

Ajax 43 points

Fword 36 points

Nec 34 points

Twente 32 points. all have 5 to play.

We still need to win a max 3 games and next week we play RKC

Sparta, PSV Vittese and de Graafchap to play.

Official site has not listed the subs used but other sites showed Kennedy went off injured after 44 mins and Zeegelaar came on , Siem de Jong played approx 63 mins Schell replaced him and Kappelhof came on for Supusepa after about 65 mins.

I think Menno was going so will be interseting to hear from 1st hand .

Just returned from De Toekomst.

Good game of football. Very attractive. Good combination play from the two teams. I can't say that Ajax were poor, but Heerenveen were the better side in the second half and the win wasn't undeserved.

Siem de Jong did alright. Seems ready for the A-squad.

Had a very good time once again.
