Agree. And I am not sure what kind of midfielder we should get. Maybe stop experimenting with other false 9's except Tadic too! Not that he should play all games

If Dest wants to be a punk, let him go, as for our defense, yes we are short at the back. Provided we keep the remaining players, i am ok with that, with Martinez back up on the left side of both positions, while Timber (albeit less experienced) on the right side of both positions.
As for our midfield, it is a mess, Promes is not a No. 10 he is a winger, they should try Antony or Ekkelenkamp for the number 10. The holding midfield is the most worrisome, I doubt Alvarez will do well, and Taylor is too young.

Eiting's loan move to Huddersfield Town soon to be confirmed. I've been scratching my head about Eiting and this move. Can't make any sense out of it at all.

agree with dest being a punk. he's nowhere close to being ready for barca or bayern. he had several big errors last season and is better off staying 2-3 years to develop. sounds like barca have entered the race for his signature so i hope if he does go, he goes for good money

Dest is surely off to either Barca/Bayern. It's only time. He's leaving a couple seasons too soon. Also Messi is not going to track back to save Dest when he's lost the ball on an overlap.

So we bring in an over the hill player and let a very promising one leave? What kind of madness is this? Look at the players who have left just recently: Botman, Zeefuik, and Bakker. All under the age of 23 and playing good football.

To be fair, Zeefuik wasn't doing well at Ajax. I agree about Botman, as for Bakker, he was 18 but 3rd choice for left back behind Sinkgraven and Tagliafico, coupled with the fact that Raiola is his agent.
I wonder if there is any chance to get any of these players back, unlikely in most cases, but in very few cases, its always possible.

Lang did well pre season and should stay. Tadic is not a left winger and Lang should be no 2 to Promes and get playing time.

Would point out we have no wingers in Jong,Unuvar and Giovanni plus Hansen are used as wingers but they are not wingers.

Labyad should be going ,no idea why he's playing at Ajax.No idea what Ten hag is doing either.Football this season is poor so far.

I wonder how much of this is because of Lang's attitude. There have been reports that he has been difficult to handle and perhaps this is the reason the training staff will let him leave. As far as I know it has not been finalized yet so we will need to wait and see. I agree with SPL, that Lang can be a very useful player for Ajax and we need depth on the wing.

A poor decision. I agree. Lang could be VERY useful this year, if Ten Hag cuts the crap and starts using the right players

Alvarez has been played as a DM but is not good enough in that position and still too slow as Cd. Johann always said you should play your own youth first and only if they are not good enough do you buy . Well I would play Taylor at 6 above Alvarez because he is a natural Mf and at 18 would not be any worse.

An article on showtime today says Alvarez should play Cd and nowhere else but Schuurs is still ahead of him and Alvarez is too slow.

If he were fit Timber should be given some time at CD ,I rate this kid and 17 year old Rensch is a Cd not a FB.

Alvarez ,in my opinion , is too slow and not good enough for Ajax. At 15m he should playing in every game but he is no better than Taylor at Dm or Timber at CD. And they are inexperienced kids

Feel free to argue but Alvarez needs to play for a team that plays defensively.

If we bought Alvarez at 3-5 million as a backup for someone, then great. But we bought him for 15million and I agree 100% with SPL that if he isn't starting then it's time to move him on. We do have Timber & Rensch for the RCB spot and Alvarez is horrendous at CDM. Taylor and even Martinez are better CDM than him.
