Apparently Chivu might be given a "free" by Inter but Dynamo Moscow are in prime position to pick him up.

A swansong in Amsterdam could be good for us (since it allows VdHoon and Denswil to develop without worry) and him if he is fit that is... .

Anyone knows are we still in market for new players? We have no actual defensive midfielders for example and there's room for improvement at other positions as well.

We really have no midfielders at all given the problems that have been in evidence for the past 18 months.

Duarte for Eriksen seems the only rumour.
Even if Eriksen stays I would hope they buy another midfielder. We could do with another winger as Fischer has done little and is not a real winger imo, Bojan has been poor ,ok he is settling in but he does not look special at present.The spare wingers are Sana who is nothing much and Anderson is not a real winger.

If Toby goes ,his replacement is V D Hoorn so we would have only 22 squad players ie 2 for each position but Ligeon,Denswil,Klaassen ,Veltman, Anderson and even Boilesen are just inexperienced kids with very few games between them.Only needs 1 or 2 injuries to the more experienced players ie Siem already, and we will struggle especially as we have CL every other week.

Has anyone seen Duarte play? What is he like? If he is decent, then I dont mind if Eriksen leaves, I really want Toby to leave though

He was incredible yesterday at Heracles Almelo-PSV.

He's a good player and will come at a fairly hefty price if Heracles decide to sell him.

Duarte and Cuenca in, Alderweireld out. I could definitely live with that, but not sure anything will happen.

But still think those two (or Bryan Ruiz for Cuenca?) are two really needed transfer, even more now.

Unsurprisingly, Kaka wants to leave Madrid as he's not going to play at all. I wonder if he would take a salary cut to come to Amsterdam so he can play CL football?

Rumours say he will go back to Milan.

EDIT: Milan have announced that they won't bring Kaka into the side as they have singed Alex Matri from Juventus. We want Kaka!!

Ajax did indeed enquire about van Ginkel... which would be nice, but Chelsea says no. Also seen a few rumours again today about bennayoun?! not sure how likely that is.

i did see about klassen and denswil possibly going on loan too.. but i cant see that much. Just hoping we get someone in quick.

van Ginkel will regret his move to Chelsea, at the end of the season he wont be going with the dutch national squad for the world cup in Brazil. He will also request for a loan away from Chelsea.

^ van Gaal passed him over for the next two fixtures because he isn't playing first team football at Chelsea.

more fool him... and chelsea.. hes not going develop by sitting on the bench... just look at Lukaku. Having said that, is he going to be premier league ready for next season by coming to us? probably not no.

i would imagine that out of the two, Sneijder would be more inclined to return to us, given his constant exclusion from the NT. I also remember reading vdV said he wouldnt come back any time soon.

We are not after Labyad his wages are 2m pa which made him a no go in any case.

I saw a post on a couple of websites that Duarte will join Ajax for €2-3M. Heracles have agreed to the transfer and the player must now agree with Ajax on personal terms.
