I have mixed feelings. Sure, Suarez can be a useful addition but if a club says they don't want to sell shouldn't we respect that?

....... and since when did they have this taboo of selling to Ajax?

Over the years they were happy to sell us players: Ronald Koeman, Marc Verkuyl and Dean Gorre. They have also been happy to sign players from Ajax: Henny Meijer, Rasmus Lindgren, Stefano seedorf, Donovan Slijngard(loan).

Seems a little two faced to say the least.

Ajax coach Henk ten Cate believes FC Groningen should resign themselves to losing the services of Luis Suarez this summer.

Groningen have turned down several approaches from Ajax for the striker, prompting Suarez to turn to the arbitration board of the KNVB in a bid to resolve the deadlock.

And now Ten Cate has turned up the heat on Groningen, insisting that Ajax's big-club reputation should persuade their Eredivisie rivals to cede to their demands.

Ten Cate told www.highlow.nl: "A big club calls for a player. They offer you a transfer fee and then you lose him. That is the football world.

"That's a fact since we have professional football and then you can hide yourself from the reality, but that has so little use.

"I do understand the Groningen reaction, but it is not realistic. The player wants to go very much and according to me Ajax is at a higher level than Groningen."

Ten Cate also revealed his admiration for the skills of 20-year-old Suarez, who scored 10 goals in his debut Eredivisie campaign last season, adding that he considers the player to be the ideal replacement for Ryan Babel, who last week joined Liverpool.

"I find Suarez and [AZ Alkmaar's Moussa] Dembele the best young strikers in Holland, after Ryan Babel," the 52-year-old continued.

"I see Luis play in the same role that Babel had at Ajax, free from the left side going towards the goal, making use of his speed and quality.
"Suarez is reasonably fast, too, has a good action. And he can score goals."

paladinby schreef:Milevskiy is belarusian actually. He played for belarusain u-16 team. And there was a conflict between belarusian and ukranian federations. Then some rules about players switching nationalities were changed, and he was allowed to play for ukraine. Belarusian Football federation got something like 2-3 mln euros for him. But anyway he is a very good player. Andit would be great to see him playing for Ajax.
