According to Telegraaf, Ajax want Slory
Ajax star wowed by Wenger
Ajax starlet Ryan Babel has conceded it would be 'a dream' to play under Arsene Wenger at Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal are understood to be taking a keen interest in the Ajax player who is currently starring for Holland in the European Under 21 Championship.
Babel - who scored in the 2-1 win over Portugal on Wednesday - has now admitted he would leap at the chance to work with the Frenchman in North London.
"If I get the chance one day to train with Arsene Wenger it would be a dream," said Babel.
"From when I was young I supported Arsenal. I liked the style, the ambience, how they show themselves on the field - everything."
Babel was also linked with a move to Newcastle in January, whilst talk of Arsenal's interest was fuelled when the young forward was spotted in London visiting his good friend Robin van Persie at the turn of the year.
The 20-year-old admits he is keen to test himself in the demanding arena of the Premier League.
Babel added: "I think it's maybe the best league, it's a very high level and there is good football."
No thank you.Van basten schreef:According to Telegraaf, Ajax want Slory
Yeah, that was in "The London Paper" (Murdoch's free-sheet) tonight as well. I'd personally be sad to see him go, a lot of potential and he's not being played in his best position half the time.Van basten schreef:Ajax star wowed by Wenger

i absolutely beg to differ, my friend
RB had a terrific second half to the season, with a couple of notable exceptions (i.e. @RKC)
many days, he was the piston revving the attack forward
Well, now we have a proper debate :hupajax.gif: . I agree that he is/has been overhyped but he's hardly alone in that..."utter shite" is a wee bit strong though, I've seen some class moves from this guy (but also some games where he's just not been involved and frankly doesn't look interested....WP_LeGeNd schreef:I think he is utter shite and I'd love to see him sold while he is still a hype...
I'm not sure about that. i don't think, that Slory is better then PerezAyman schreef:Its a good deal though

must be personal, coz his play does not deserve that rating
or disapear, he is still too green to play in the premiership, if he stays a couple of years and then goes to ARSENAL THEN he can blossom. ARSENAL IS A GREAT TEAM FOR YOUNGSTERS BUT HE WOULD HAVE MORE COMPETITIÓN THAN HE CAN HANDLE RIGHT NOW.Manneken Pis schreef:I think he's;bluedaddy19 schreef:WP_LeGeNd schreef:wow How different views of a player can people have.. a) got a lot of potential,
b) played out of position, and
c) still VERY YOUNG.
If he goes to play for someone like Wenger I think he could well blossom.

It's pronounced Poo-pon (stressing the underscored syllable).ajaxusa schreef:One question about Poepon - how's that pronounced?

He is (I think) 19 years old and plays at Hamburg. However, he can't really crack the first team and may get loaned or sold.
I think he would make an excellent understudy for Sneijder, and would fit in well at Ajax. He probably would be fairly inexpensive. He needs some seasoning, but I could see him (assuming Sneijder stays another year) backing Sneijder up and then starting. He has a lot of potential.
For your reference, I direct you here. Enjoy the Mexican commentary. A "golazo" is an extraordinarily brilliant goal.
