Agree that a skilled , more skilled than Josy at this point, battering ram would be a nice change of pace or as a compliment to an Ajax style # 9 to show a different look . Heck, I even thought the Urzaiz move was a decent idea a couple years back. I just had no clue he we had so little left in the tank .

i can't imagine them selling lodeiro, he's hardly just begun here and is a player we need

He looked decent when Ajax came over to the US to play DC United. You could tell he was suffering from the inactivity resulting from the injuries. He certainly deserves a fair shot at making the starting 11 or becoming the super-sub. I think he is stronger on the ball than Aissatti (and we don't know if he will stay with us or not.

The couple of times I watched Lodeiro, he made some really skillful through passes -- good vision and good accuracy and good weight. I think we should hold on to him if possible.

Excellent news. I think we're now complete for next season assuming we don't lose any of the main cogs - Vertonghen, Eriksen, Anita etc

Ain't it a great change to be settled so early (assuming, etc.). Finally, we are making moves in the summer that have meaning for the season. This has the portents of a really good year.

Every position at this moment has a designated starter,and almost all of them have a a good array of back up options, particularly in mdfield and upfront. Lets hope it stays like this for now.

Yeah - also I hope Daniels works out for us. Then we'd have Ooijer/Daniels/Blind providing backup for the the CB spots.

I also think van der Heijden might be getting groomed as the successor to Vertonghen. He played well for Willem II in that role.

He also played a half for us today and scored . Granted , he wasn't exactly staring into the eyes of Real Madrid , but you can only play against the clubs on the schedule.

Don't think so. He was a holding midfielder at Willem II; not a central defender.

I watched 1 or 2 of his games and he played as a libero type defender, maybe that was as cover but he was pretty impressive actually. Maybe like Vertonghen and Maduro before him he might be moved back more permanently.

What about Serero? Is it done? And Kobi?

Aissati has great potential. I hope he learned from his mistakes and will get another chance with Ajax.

It can't hurt to have depth , especially on a club guaranteed to play more than forty matches , hopefully more than forty - five , this season.
