I'm afraid that de Jong's only real position is as striker. Unless he develops a lot more quickness (which is more genetic than acquired) he really can't play in the midfield, his passing is too slow.

I dunno -- he was a goal scoring monster for a while last year. Maybe he can get that back.

Many of his goals were headers last year and I'm not sure that's the case this season. I'm also hoping he can get the touch back as well.

Ajax are close to a deal with viktor Fischer from FC Midtjylland.. He is not a typical striker, but more like Jon Dahl Tomasson.. He will cost around 10 million Dk which i s about 1,5 euro.

He has chosen us over Chelsea and Man City. I know he is not yet 17 but we have paid over a million euros for him and paid out similar sums for Boilesen and Eriksen .EPL teams take kids for nothing on their 16th birthday by buying off the parents. Ajax do not do this .

reports say that we are looking at sigthorsson and matavz for a summer transfer. sigthorsson is more likely as it is believed matavz has already reached an agreement with napoli. i wouldn't mind sigh, but wonder is dost is still in the picture as well

Ajax Cape Town forward Thulani Serero will "definitely" move to Ajax Amsterdam at the end of the season, while the Dutch giants are still considering defender Clayton Daniels.

This was confirmed on Thursday by the Cape club’s chief executive, George Comitis, although he said they wanted to keep the details under wraps until the season ends.

“They (Ajax Amsterdam) are definitely taking Thulani but we want to confirm the deal when the time is right,” said Comitis.

“With Clayton, it’s a maybe at this moment, and there is a very good chance. We will have to wait and see.”

Nice! Foppe says Serrero can fit in Ajax squad, so i trust him! He said the same about Daniels. De Boer may be is waiting to see what's going to happen with Verthongen and vd Wiel. He'll probably take Daniels as well. So 2 new good players without money. Perfect

yeah matavz is basically gone to napoli already

i would still prefer van wolfswinkel to any of these other eredivisie forwards

According to Ernst Bouwes we are interested in Kolbeinn Sigthórsson of AZ. I haven't seen enough of him to make any judgement. Price was mentioned as €5M.
