ManY still have former Barcelona #1, Victor Valdes so I'm not sure they really should be desperate.

I was wondering what would happen if he left this summer... think we could get Kenneth back from Feyenoord?

Man U dont trust Valdes fitness. There are still 3or4 goalies in EPL on their list so I still think Cillessen wont go there.

Several ex Ajax goalies in the eredivise apart from Vermeer.V d Hart ,Hahn at Zwolle but now back at Fword and Padt at Groningen.

I will stick my neck out and say we could still do worse than get Steklenburg back.2013/14 with Fulham this season on loan at Monaco but did not play much.He still has 2 years left at Fulham but if we do lose Cillessen we could just get Steks back.

Zivkovic could well be going back to Groningen on loan next season. Ajax have done a good job in messing this kid up. He spends a whole year at Jong Ajax having already scored goals as a 17 year old for Groningen and now is going back there.

Reports today that Boilesen will be sold if Dijks comes.

The timing is just right for Boilssen to leave. He has one year left on his contract, and let's remember he was pretty awful for most of the season. Puzzling why he often wore the captains armband....

The 'new' purchasing policy was instituted last summer...or the summer before? It was an attempt to get players to extend expiring contracts, or sell them. The handling of Moisander this pass season pretty much showed this 'policy' was more just a wish. Ajax really doesn't have many options if another team doesn't come in with a serious offer. And now Moisander leaves on a 'free' transfer, which is great for his new club but bloody awful for Ajax. Sad thing is that there is no real solution. Maybe Cruyff can come up with something while he's in town.

Really hope Dijks gets signed, and Boilssen finds himself a new Spanish club.

As well as Boilesen we need to sell Siggy this summer as his contract only runs to 2016.Ajax will want to sell both
and get some money but not sure what happens if either is still here come 1st Sept.
Siggy was in the same position last summer and because no one wanted him he stayed and agreed to sign for another year ,ie to2016,so he could still play and Ajax would get some money this summer.

Am I the only one hoping that Cillissen will join Man Utd? He can't save a penalty to save his life! He panicks when there is a scramble in his six yard box. Remember the challenge by Messi in Amsterdam? Also we can easily replace him with Maarten Stekelenburg, who needs to resurrect his career and no better place than to do it than at Ajax!

unfortunately Stekelenburg is not as good a keeper as Cillessen at this point.

your right, 25mill is a lot, but if theyre getting mega money for de Gea, then why shouldnt we ask for more if they really want him.. and we dont need to sell do we?

Melvin Vissers a 19 year old midfielder from our youths has rejoined Sparta.He joined from Sparta on a 3 year contract aged 16 and has not made the grade.

I would like to say its bad news.. but he really has been awful over the last 1-2 seasons. (IMO)

Boilesen has struggled and its time for him to leave but mixed messages from him.He says he will only go to the right club and prefers Spain.It also reports he has turned down a contract extension , (current contract 2016)

Meanwhile Ajax have been asked to pay 1m euros for Mitchell Dijks and we have said thats too much.We are still likely to sign him though.

Finally Peter Leeuwenburgh a Jong Ajax goalie who was out injured for most of last season is likely to join Dordrecht on loan.

Good luck to Boilesen. He's talented but too injury prone. His defending is suspect but he really is good going forward.

EDIT: I should add that the Ajax supporters don't care much for Boilesen and I think the adverse reception he gets when he is subbed off in matches might have something to do with this. I always thought it curious that FdB made him the assistant captain.

mega money??? Man Utd get NOTHING as, due to the way his deal was done, to include an automatic extension, he's out of contract!!!! THAT'S why they WON'T spend 25mill on a keeper!!!! They'll only save one year's salary...this what they'll spend on a new keeper....max 7.5million...

I see that Arsenal will get £3m from Barcelona after they won the "Big Cup" on Saturday for Vermaelen even though he didn't even make the bench.

Ajax was recently shown to have the most ex-players in Europe's major leagues (33 I seem to recall).

Why the hell don't we have a policy of only agreeing to selling players with a permanent sell-on clause (e.g. 5% of all future transactions involving that player for the rest of his career). It would pay for the entire Youth set up.

As much as I would not want him to leave, that's a pretty fair price for a keeper not named de Gea.

€16M back in 2004 which adjusting for inflation may be the same amount or slightly higher.

Zlatan was sold way too cheap to Juventus. Not to mention the fact that he would just have stayed another year if we did not let him go that easy.

Sneijder and Huntelaar both went for about 27 million euros to Real Madrid, at that time that was more than 20 million British Pounds as the euro was a more valuable coin at that time.

Liverpool did also pay around 26 million euros for Suarez.
