Great news about the possible friendlies! Love to go down to Southampton again....enjoyed the day out a couple of years ago, met some new fans and sampled some nice beers! Even better if there's a game at Norwich...just hope that my holidays coincide!

Aaaahh, this is cruel!

Finally another bunch of great little pre-season friendlies in the U.K.... and I definitely won't be able to go. We're expecting our second child around July 25th. I definitely won't leave the country in July or early August.

Here's hoping that this type of U.K. trip will become a tradition again. Norwich, Nottingham... Those were some of the best Ajax trips ever for me.

Sounds amazing. Sure those planning to go will have a blast. Would love to go , but going to Taiji early next year .

Sadler Ian mentions Southampton and yes I am going .Not sure about Norwich at present. I note there is nothing about buying away tickets direct from Southampton. I do remember last time that they did sell away tickets on the day and the stewards saying we spoke good English for Dutch people. They were surprised we were all English and had fallen for the magic of a little team from Amsterdam.

No news about the sale of tickets for the game yet, but one of the staff at Ajax is going to let me know when they go on sale....I've got to get tickets for others, let me know""

Ian, I'll be at Southampton I think as well. Let us know when you hear re the tickets but I really can't see this being anything like a sell out - ground holds about 29,000 I think and the away end is around 2,000 at least (I haven't checked but as well as the Ajax friendly I went to watch Blackpool in the FA Cup last year and even that wasn't a sell out in the away end I don't think).

no news about tickets for saints game. Ajax have no news and SaddlerIan has tried without success to contact Saints .

I must have got the lucky streak as I got through today at the 1st attempt. Due to large season ticket demands they have not thought about us but they believe that away tickets will be sold on the day .They should know by next Weds so I will phone them then . I will ask to speak to someone in authority if they say no as they sold away tickets on the day in 2009 when we last came there!!

If we cannot get away tickets we will have to go in with Saints fans and tickets can be purchased beforehand or on the day as I doubt the game will be a sell out.

Just had an email from Southampton;

"Sorry for the delay in response to your email we have received a high volume of emails and are trying to respond to everyone as quickly as possible.

In order to purchase an Ajax ticket for the away section you can either purchase tickets via Ajax ticket office. They will receive tickets shortly and there will be announcement once tickets have been released so that fans can purchase them. Alternatively you are able to purchase tickets at Southampton ticket office on the day of the match. This will be from ticket office 3 which will open at 12.30 and stay open until kick off."

That means it's all on...we can get them on the day!!!

Well Weatherspoons on the High Street would be easier, but the other pub wold be nicer - don't mind.....
