He's had quite a decent game aside from that -- based on some of what was written in the thread about him I was pleasantly surprised.

A bit of nail biting at the end -- good to get the win, but disappointing to have missed all those chances.

So, we didn't destroyed them, but still i'm happy with this win i think we played good, but the finishing was terrible to say at least.

60% of possession. 23 shots, 12 on goal and only one in the net. We'll need to do a better job of finishing chances. Good match overall with only two real problems in the back line. Agree that Sno had a good game in midfield. He is so strong on the ball but please pass don't shoot.

Ecstatic !! Three points and the clean sheet ! Too bad about the missed chances, but Ajax will make up for it in future . Scoring goals has rarely been our problem.

At times, I've been really negative about Ajax sides that won 6-0.

Today, I must say I was pretty enthusiastic about an Ajax team that only scored once.

All in all, I thought Ajax performed really well. We had loads of chances, but what I thought was really promising was the fact that Ajax created them in a 'football kind of way' rather than a 'kick & rush & let's see if KJH/Suarez can do something' kind of way.

Ajax tried to play football and that's how they created their chances.

Also, they allowed Roda a 'chance and a half', and not more. You could argue that Roda never really tried (which is true), but hey: today I liked the defensive performance from Oleguer, Vermaelen - and also Urby and Sno.

Well done, Ajax. For today.

The lads played well and i was impressed by Van der Wiel on the right, looks like hes got some ofensive skill, the midfield looked more balanced and the chances for an easy win were there...we just lacked luck. I almost had a heart atack when Roda almost trickled one in almost at the end of the match, three points are three points and given the way the team looked we can all be satisfied now lets score some goals against BORAC and the Kakerlakken :hupajax.gif:
