We don't have a credible replacement for Vermaelen.

So very true.

We've wasted too many chances from the Slavia game to the PSV game and now today against Roda.

There is only one thing I have to say...

What annoys me the most about this result, is the fact that it's sooooo predictable. I've had a whole week to think about this match since last weekend's Classic - and I could not think of any other outcome than this. I wasn't even happy when I saw the PSV v Heerenveen result last night. All I thought was: so, that'll be 9 points tomorrow.

This tragedy was predictable but not avoidable from the time Sneijder was allowed to leave just before the CL qualifyers without a decent replacement.

It became inevitable from the moment Ten Cate was allowed to leave in mid-season and Van Geel installed Koster as replacement.

It was then clear to me that the season was again going to be a disaster.

Firstly I'd like to point out that Ajax lost this game, Roda did not win it.
They had the chances and the mistakes in defence were of their own making.

Now having said that, what never ceases to amaze me when I watch Eredivisie games is the attrocious level of officiating.
There were:
- players that should have been off for studs first tackles,
- legitimate goals not allowed,
- wrong offside calls,
- a handball in the penalty area not given.
Don't get wrong all referees get it wrong sometimes, but the number of errors seen in this league I don't anywhere else.

so it's another sad day for another very sad season for Ajax, title race over in early February...

it's time for prepare for the next season with a clean start

To ease the pain, bet on the game.

That was all pretty depressing. I don't know why I let them do it, an 11.30 kick-off UK time just about knackers up the whole day - not really enough time to do anything else either side and yet I still sit down in blind expectation to watch.

How many more chances do we need ffs. I do like Vermaelen who I think has developed really well but that was a real shocker of a blunder today.

Do not think we can drop Vermaelen just because of today. He has been out a long time and the only other replacement is Kuffour who has been out even longer!

That's what people thought two years ago, and last year. Nevertheless...

I think Ajax has used up all its playoff luck already.

1-I don't think we can lose the play-offs
2-We have to change about everyone in charge at the top of the club, asap, and prepare for a new start next season : they failed season after season, it's onlu February and we were eliminated from all European competitions long ago, and the Dutch tiltle is beyond reach (and even the Dutch cup)

Yeah, let's fire everyone except the man who has a team to beat at least clubs such as Roda JC, NEC, NAC or Excelsior... (that's already 11 points)
