Reality Check :ajaxsmiley.gif:

Just desserts for the latest in a run of truly dreadful performances.

Well if you analyse our last two or three games you can see that it was going to happen sooner or later...the only reason we were winning was because our forwards were scoring like crazy...so its simple....our Strikers had an off day....our defense had a normal(Crappy) day and thus the result we all know by now.

You're 100% right! If we don't score, we'll lose.

Cant say much. Maybe most of the Oranje players (Stekks, Maduro Huntelaar etc.) still had shit in their pants after learning the Euro draw.

I think if we win this league it will be by default, because P$V fuck up somewhere rather than we excel.

Even if we bring in the two or three defenders we need at Christmas, it usually takes a long time for new players to bed-in at Ajax, and they almost always seem to pick up a series of injuries. Any signings we make in December are not likely to make significant contributions till next year.

Emanuelson seems to be going backwards at a greater rate than Maduro is going forwards. I know young players are susceptible to loss of form, but there must be something else going on. He's not even a shadow of the player he was.

Is Urby thinking of all the money he is going to earn either in Italy or Spain?

If any of our young left backs in the reserves were coming through and pushing him he would probably be dropped!!

yep, maybe it's just that he wants to leave and is forced to stay ?

here is a view of the arena before the final whistle (from Ajaxfotoside) : dramaticly empty

Maybe that says more for the so called fans who left than the team.

I stayed until the very last minute and usually it really does annoy me a bit when so many people start leaving before the final whistle. This time however, I could understand the frustration. People buy season tickets to watch (and in their own way support) their team, but would also like to see some value for their money. And so far this season it's been a piss-poor display when it comes to home games. We drew agains Groningen and NEC and lost to NAC in the league and suffered embarassing European defeats against Slavia and Dinamo. Aside from that the football has rarely been any good and we even went a goal down to VVV. Almost every opponent has had something to cheer about at a certain point in our own stadium.
