After a listless performance against a well motivated, organised and intelligent opponent in the first leg the roles were completely reversed in the second encounter. Yes, the sending off helped, but as you watched the game before that you just couldn't see them losing it.

Very well played by Ajax.

Now for the big one versus AZ.......

The first 20 minutes were awful but just when the fans started to sing "voetballen voetballen", it was over in two minutes... And then really good display though the score could (should) have been bigger. But hey, I wouldn't have predicted such a good result.

Come on AZ ! You'll have to worry if I'm in the stand !

Thank goodness we won. If we lose in the playoffs at least it will be AZ.But that will not happen we will beat them and qualify.

Sometimes this is the greatest team in the world to watch..and be a part of, I hope. Last Sunday was not one of those times. My first and last away game. What a bunch of nonsense it was waiting 4 hours to get on a train to Rotterdam only to end up in the middle of ajax Supporter violence. Today, plenty of elbow-room, plenty of beers, plenty of Ajax goals. I'll stay in Amsterdam, thanks.

Congratulations AJAX! A decisive victory after Wednesday's mess. That should be good for morale.

Hopefully AZ will not be at full strength in Alkmaar. Maybe Dembele or Cziommer will feel a tweak .

Why go on about a meaningless goal scored in one of the best victories of recent years when there are an abundance of examples of goals conceded and points dropped against crap teams?
