FT 3-1

We actually could have made it, although Werder missed a couple of great chances first. The first match ruined everything.

Anyway, I'm glad we were able to show that we're capable of more than the cowardly football of last week.

A performance full of heart and no little skill ..... much, much better. This is what we want from Ajax - not that insipid crap we were served up in Bremen.

The second goal was fantastic work from Babel culminating with a wonderful turn and finish by Huntelaar - great fucking goal.

We have the players to compete with these teams. We just have to have the right mind set to pull of the big results against the big opponent. We showed that tonight.No doubt about it.

It was a great time to watch Ajax smashing Werder's defensive. Ryan Babel had a very good game today, same as Leonardo. Sneijder was also good. I expected more from Perez and Roger, but the final score is OK (bad that we're not in the next round).
Ajax showed they have a really big potential. I hope they will continue playing that way in Eredivisie.

what would be result against excelsior if we would play like tonight? i think 9-0 or 10-1 or smth like that. we have to concentrate to all games that had left, because there didn't left unimportant games. if we will play in the same spirit against AZ, we will win

This game was truly entertaining stuff, the only part I didnt like was Roger jumping to block a cross, which was not threatening from Borowski, but led to the equaliser. Babel tormented Pasanen all night, de Mul did well as a sub. Stekelenburg had a good game. Im really pleased. I just hope we make it the CL and not lose our key players at the end of the season. E.g. Sneijder, Huntelaar.

Great game, ofcourse we couldn't have expected to make it through after 3-0 in Germany, but I'm really proud the way Ajax fought hard esp. after Excelsior. AZ had a goals galore match against Fenerbache, so the Sunday match will be the true test if we're still in the race or not.

Yeh. it really was a good game to watch, especially as I had such a great feed, only a five second delay!
The team showed SPIRIT, PASSION and FLAIR.

Let's see this again at Alkmaar.....please!
