Great to see that irony works in Dutch too ;) . Cheers Ko, an interesting read. I'm really looking forward to the game tommorrow, will be watching in my usual London haunt of De Hems.

I just hope we can get a win (and a good game) but then saying that we managed the first (and arguably the second) once already in Scandinavia this season and we all know what happened then.

I was happy with Babel's performance on Sunday (though agreed, not MOTM) but do have a vested interest (My 90 Euro's home shirt!) for Rosenburg to get a chance sometime soon.

Latest team news from Dutch press agency ANP...

Wesley Sneijder skipped today's training session in Lillestrøm because he suddenly had fever. That's bad news. It seems like he's caught the flu and will not be able to play tomorrow. If that is the case, Hedwiges Maduro is likely to replace him in midfield.

Thomas Vermaelen 'survived' today's training: he's ready to rock & roll and generally expected to start in the heart of the Ajax defense, alongside Jaap Stam. This almost certainly means that John Heitinga will start on the bench (George Ogararu was great last Sunday and probably won't lose his spot).

Alright folks, my bag is packed... I'm ready for departure to Oslo, tomorrow morning. I'm looking forward to it.

I will try to find an internet café on Friday morning and write a match report in Norway, but I am not sure if that can be done. In that case you will have to have some patience before the match report is up on Ajax USA.

Anyway - talk soon!

My prediction for this one : 1 - 4 for Ajax. :afca:
Why ?
Because last time 1 - 2 was not enough. ;)

See one of Ko's posts above; Sneijder has a fever and was left behind at the hotel when the team went out for a training to rest and also to prevent that the flu/fever spreads out to other players.

I haven't seen any news around Sneijder today so I don't know whether he's able to start in tonights game.

Having FOUR away goals is a nice luxury. Particularly if this two goal lead holds up.

Full time folks, that 5th goal really is a clincher... 5-2 final result. Still giving up two goals against this type of oposition is not very nice, we need to correct that in a hurry. The first goal seemed to be Heitinga's fault, the stream was really terrible, i mean just dreadfull. By the little i could see Heitinga lost his man in the first goal and the second goal was a stupid ball that an ajax player gave up (Roger ??) on the endline, the subsequent cross was met by a Start player, Stekk and Urby got a piece of it but it went in anyways. Still i think a 3 goal lead should be enough, lets just keep focused on the home leg and we should be fine.

PS: We have too start learning how too keep clean sheets, it's always better too win 3-0 than 5-2 .

not really
5-2 away is better than 3-0 away because of the away goals

First goal was due to Rosales letting his man go. He was substituted right after as punishment. Second goal fell when Roger thought the ball would go out of bounds and let it go. Instead a Norwegian picked up the ball and Start was able to score.

I asked for a monster score, and I'm glad with 2 - 5 :xyxthumbs:

So Rosenberg-KJH-Babel could be a winning line-up. Food for thought.

Don't draw too many conclusions from this match. Start are a very, very poor team.
