Again our Boukhari.
Let's hope the defence can get somewhat organized especially for our March trip to Italy..

And Emanuelson's having a tough time with Nurmela. Heracles is the better side.
Blind should take Maduro out of the back 4.

If we can win this one it will be great considering the lack of experience in our defence. With Juanfran out of favour there is not much changes we can make.

Well done to our boys. A good result considering we have so many first teamers out.
We are having no luck with injuries at present but we are lucky that we are playing all the bottom sides at present. We will need some more experience in 2 weeks time v PSV.however soccer is a funny game.
The main thing is we have now won 4 in a row and if we beat Sparta next week that will mean winning all 5 of the games against these bottom teams. We are starting to go in the right direction and whats more some of our young kids are getting experience in the team.

The football wasn't great, but that's a given this season. Keeping that in mind, plus the number of injuries, I thought that this wasn't a bad win at all.
Ajax were overwhelmed in the opening phase, Heracles fully deserved their lead and they actually should have made it 2-0. But around the half hour mark Ajax took over and slowly but certainly started to turn the game around. The Hunter's equalizer came at exactly the right moment, but it must be said: Heracles were never in it in the second half and at some point Ajax's second goal was a matter of time. Nice one that Timisela got it (after good work by Charisteas).
At the end of the day Ajax had more possession, more shots on goal, more shots wide, more corners, more free-kicks -- everything. Conclusion: good win, plain simple.

Great Job AJAX!! Our away form this year hasn't been the stuff of legend, so I'm stoked by this result. The Hunter keeps scoring, Michael Timisela plays the hero, and even Ryan Babel pops out of the hondhuis and scores. Two positive appearances on the trot for Timisela.Glad to see two of our youth products make such positive contributions. RE: Timisela in particular, if he keeps taking these baby steps in the right direction, who knows? Last, I also read something about an injury to Timisela. Please tell me he won't be the latest one to take up residence in the Ajax wing of the local hospital.

Also, I noticed an item on Ajax Netwerk re: Sneijder and PIENAAR(who dat?) playing some part for Jong Ajax in the coming week?Is this what the item says? Hoping it's not wishful thinking on my part.

That is indeed what the article says. In fact both players are practically fit, but they will be brought back slowly to save them for the play-offs.

FCG v.F-Word was 1:1 according to Sporting Life. Fledderus on 11 for Groningen and P-Hair van Hooijdonk on 70 for F-word.About 86' played at the time I checked the score, a minute or so ago.

Final in Groningen was 1:1. Noone is catching PSV ,sad to say, but we picked up points on F-word and AZ in front of us and gained distance on Groningen behind us.Not a bad day.

It's not going super smoothly but at least we seem to be wrapping up all those small teams. Last four games were wins against the numbers 14, 16, 17 and 18. Next weekend the number 13 awaits. Anyone still doubtful that we might not make at least 5th place?

Jong Ajax have no game this week so I doubt we will see Sneijder or Pienaar next weekend. Hopefully Sneijder will be fit for PSV. As for Pienaar, I imagine he will spend the rest of the season as a substitute, but his experience will come in handy in the run in to the season and playoffs.

Only one easy match to go and then the tough ones come up. We're just three points ahead of number 7, so lets stay sharp!!!
