Shambolic defending. Is Mazraoui fit but on all 3 goals our 2 Cd were not there.Worrying that I watched the goals again last night from last Sunday and our defending was just as poor but we blamed that on Lamprou .Cannot blame Onana .

We basically have 7 midfielders ie both wide men and fullbacks are MF , one striker who is not as effective as the 35 year old on the bench and only 2 defenders who are having a poor game.

Only positive they have a worse goalie than Lamprou so all is not lost.

My first game for 5 weeks !!!!

No organization to the defense. Battle for 50/50 balls all being won by Feyenoord. Our attackers double and tripled teamed. Our defenders double and triple teamed upon. If nothing changes this could get a lot worse.

Shambolic is not the word defence was non existent. Onana maybe blamed for no 2 Ian but that was as poor a performance as I have seen for years.

I wont blame Magallan , he has been in Amsterdam for 2 weeks probably cannot speak much English and should be nowhere near a starting team until he settles in . No way should Wober have been sold he should have played these 2 league games with de Ligt and Blind at LB.

Donny was clearly very upset at coming off and when you have a show pony who costs 86m dont blame him. de Jong has talent and promise but please can you explain to me how he cost 86m !! He certainly doesn't score or create many goals and no one takes a free kick like Schone.

Not sure what all the top teams will be making of de Ligt today ,worst game he has ever played for Ajax.

Even if we end up beating PSV at the end of March there are 14 other games and we will drop more points than PSv in those 14.

The rains that started falling in the second half extinguished any spark Ajax might have had on the day and most likely ended the team's quest to capture their first Eredivisie title since Frank de Boer led them to four straight. The 6-2 loss will go down on the ignominious side of the Ajax historical ledger and that the club has conceded 10 goals in their first two league matches since the winter break has to be troubling for ten Hag and the players. The defense today was in shambles all match long. Coverage was non existent and Feyenoord had more drive and determination. Ajax had only one goal from open play and saw every other shot on frame either saved or deflected; Feyenoord seemed to see an open goal on almost every shot.

Any optimism that I had regarding the upcoming tie against Real Madrid in the Champions League is now a faint vapor, quickly evaporating in the ether. Let us not forget that Ajax have another visit to de Kuip in the Beker semifinals set for late February. Next week the club is home to VVV.

Player Ratings:

Onana (5) - no chance on any of the Feyenoord goals and I'm sure he doesn't want to see this type of performance from his defenders agains this season
Blind (4.5) - started off at left back and moved to the middle when Magallan was taken off
Magallan (3.5) - had one or two decent interventions but was thoroughly unconvincing
de Ligt (5) - seemed shell shocked at the end of the match as things went from bad to worse
Mazraoui (2) - go home, take a shower, eat dinner and FORGET about this match
Schöne (4) - great free kick and then a very poor match
de Jong (4) - looks like Barcelona over paid by about €60M
van de Beek (4.5) - had a couple of runs and it was the rebound from his shot that Ziyech put away for the second goal
Tadic (4.5) - wasn't his day
Dolberg (4.5) - had good ball control and some nice runs but the ball wasn't there for him
Ziyech (5.5) - best player on the pitch today
Sinkgraven (4.5) - I guess his insertion was forced by Magallan's poor performance
Neres (4.5) - not much of an impact player today and he probably wishes he was on a plane to China
Huntelaar (NR) - on late and I didn't see that he had a single touch

I agree with everything SPL said. The club gave up on Wöber to quickly. Remember, ten Hag did not play him against PSV in Eindhoven preferring de Jong on the backline and Ajax could not contest anything in the air.

Agree your ratings and comments . Magallan really looked poor and no where near ready and Sinkgarven as a left back is a joke .Mazraoui clearly not fit but Kristensen cannot be trusted. Meanwhile the promising Wober is playing for a top Spanish club.

Could we have done worse than play Bakker at left back ,His contract runs out in June and with Raiola agent he will be going especially when he sees a clown like Sinkgraven playing at LB.

I should back the players but de Jong can piss off now and 5 others out there today are dreaming of bigger leagues and more money ie Onana,de Ligt, Neres, v d Beek, Ziyech.

Just checked yesterday's Sevilla match and Wöber played all 90 minutes in a 5-0 win over Levante. Overmars and the technical staff screwed this one up.

Like a recurring nightmare, I am experiencing last season all over again. Every time we came near to overtaking PSV and going top we collapsed -- and here it is again. To be champions you have to have a lot more steel and determination than Ajax ever displays. It's not enough to look pretty while you waste your attacks with looking to the backward pass as the first instinct. Meanwhile, the other team says, "boys, you sure look pretty with all that back passing, but watch me go directly down field and put the ball in your net. I sure wish I was as pretty as you, but I guess I'll have to make do with just scoring a goal."

This calls for an emergency purchase. Vertonghen would do, although a bit tricky to lure him back to Amsterdam

Mazraoui was so poor yet Kristensen is rated worse and was not used. Get rid of him Veltman is nearly fit and Dest is no worse.5m down the drain.

Not sure allowing players to negotiate transfers at this period is a good idea. Frenkie should go off to Barca now, I would rather see Gravenberch play.de Ligt now going through the motions before he moves but not sure who other than the rich Chinese would buy Neres. Would still like to see 2 real wingers playing and not 2 midfielders .

Reading comments yesterday all doom and gloom except Menno Pot(ie posts as Kowalczyk) who pointed out titles are not won with 15 games to go and only 5 points ahead.Very true.

Losing to Feyenoord is the worst thing that can happen in football according to Ajax fans. Well I thought so but
then realised something far worse has happened and can never be put right.

We can still win the the title this season but we are never going to see Appie play again.

I did tell you I am never going to forget this lad.

I remember back in 2008, van Basten taking Ajax to Heerenveen on a rainy windswept night. Ajax got hammered 5-2 in what was an awful match. Feyenoord supporters are still celebrating this win, the first since 2012, as if they won the Champions League. I suspect Ajax will be super prepared for the Beker match next month.

I agree with SPL about Nouri. I often think back to those Jong Ajax matches with the super quick MF of Nouri, van de Beek and de Jong. I recall on match where they put together over 20 passes before getting a shot on goal.
