Terrible call on Alderweireld. Looked like his arm was in and it should not have been a hand ball.

I don't know why we are even playing this farce after what has done mr Verbeek last time. Not only the audience, but also the ajax players should have been children to protest this shame.

So not even a yellow for AZ when elbowing ours - first Enoh gets elbowed now Sulejmani.

Edit: this is just ridiculuos. Toby gets whistled when his arm is back and AZ players can play the ball in the box like it's ok.

Edit again: another really poor game by us where we are getting victimized by the ref.

where do I start...

1) az coach is a CUNT, always complaining to the 4th official and slowly working his way to gain the upper hand

2) our guys COULD be tired or something I dont know because:

a) they can't pass to the player next to them
b) they continue to play one touch football when they cant even do A) right (idiots)
c) some of them seem to lack the mentality or heart for the game
d) below par performances for no obvious reason...
e) WRONG FUCKING PLAN, i dont know if we used to play total football, but now its total shit. should I travel from GREECE to HOLLAND to grab De Boer or Mr. 14 aka GOD and ask them what the fuck is going on and it's always one pass back then defense and if the opponent doesnt have good defenders, the ball MIGHT end up to our winger and he will cross with a prayer...
f) I don't want to think anymore cause on Sunday the same bunch might prove me wrong and win. WHY?????

I need to quit watching Barcelona play since it leads me to have expectations beyond the skills of Ajax. Maybe there were 15 minutes of enlightened football today followed by what can only be classified as very poor football. Unconvincing passes, players getting pushed off the ball, looking back to the keeper rather than upfield to attack. Maybe FdB is sandbagging Verbeek and has some strategy planned for Sunday's match; I certainly hope so because I cannot see this team winning in Alkmaar based on today's performance. It always appears that Eriksen is the only player out there that has a clue on what to do with the ball. The match also reinforces the belief that Theo Janssen should not be on the field at all. We seem to be playing 10 against 11 both on offense and defense; another very poor transfer decision. My big question is, what is Dennis Bergkamp's role on the training staff? I see no indication that he is helping anyone on this squad!

Player ratings:

Cilessen 6 - neither good nor bad and forced into too many long kicks to get the ball up field
Anita 5 - very poor game by his standards, had trouble with Beerens all match long and didn't do much going forward
Vertonghen 6 - decent enough
Alderweireld - got no support at all from Ligeon and the hand ball call in the box was too harsh
Ligeon 5 - poor defending and pushed off the ball on several occasions when he went forward
Enoh 6 - played up to his capabilities and only made one bad turnover
Eriksen 7 - only decent offensive performer
Janssen 5 - should never be on the field
Aisatti 5 - poor play on the left wing as he was stripped of the ball way too easily and only started looking halfway decent when Janssen went off
de Jong 7 - nice first goal and good poach to get the second one but otherwise was absent during much of the game
Sulejmani 6 - did a lot of running but again didn't see the pass when he should have
Ozbilitz NR - really wasn't a factor coming on
Bulykin NR - not on long enough

Again, (and I sound like a broken record) until this team gets spacing in the midfield and makes more convincing passes they will continue to have problems.

Well Eriksen and Siem did well with the goals and the kids were superb with their noise . Nothing else positive to say . Defence is poor but has been all season. Apart from Eriksen's skills the midfield does not exist and given that Suljmani and Aissati did nothing as wingers we may as well have played Lukoki and De Sa . Penalty looked harsh but overall I cannot say we deserved to win .

2 massive games coming up and if we fail to win at least one of them we wont win the league.

This is what totally confuses me given the kind of player he was and the systems he played in at Ajax & Arsenal. he'll never move up beyond where he is because of his fear of flying.

Our only real wingers are IMO : Boerrigter, Ebecilio, Ozbiliz, and Ă–zbiliz.

fair assessment as usual Orange .We need 2 full backs and Anita should be midfield. If Ligeon is considered good enough to take over from V d Wiel we have problems.

I do agree about Janssen ,no idea what he is doing playing for Ajax.

A number of the young supporters carried banners with the words Wesley bedankt (thanks Wesley) - the name of the Ajax fan who attacked keeper Esteban Alvarado. As the Parool points out, without his actions, they would never have been able to see the game.

Lodeiro does not get on the field even when Janssen finally leaves it . If he is behind Aissati what does that say of Lodeiro? I also think V Rhijn wont be that happy as he is a better
defender than Ligeon imo and is looking at a contract extension at present. I would have had Lodeiro and V Rhijn playing instead of Aissati and Ligeon.

One point I wonder what effect if any it had on our sqaud that last Saturday they were playing the other side of the world. I read it took 17 hours to get there in which case they must have suffered a bit of jet lag. Never having flown further than Munich would they have had jet lag?

I am not looking for excuses but not really sure flying back from Brazil on Sunday is ideal when there is a game on Thursday . Janssen was quoted last week Brazil was nice but would have been just as happy in Zeeland for the week ,especially as the weather in Netherlands was mild at the time .

Leaving out Lodeiro was extremely puzzling given how he played when all our strikers were out. If there is one thing I really fault FdB for it's his endless faith that Janssen will provide some magic. I think the jury is in with that verdict and has been for several matches now.

Usually jet lag takes place in flying from east to west since you arrive on the same day but earlier and your sleep cycle is messed up. East to west you can sleep on the plane and the adjustment is not so severe (at least this is my experience as a frequent intercontinental traveler). I think the problem was that Ajax had scheduled the Brazil trip prior to the cup tie and a replay because of hooliganism was never contemplated.
