they fired the coach because his style is 4-4-2 and paok played 4-5-1 for the 3 previous years. So he came and tried to change the ultra defensive style which displeased the board. so the ousted him. Thats suits them better and makes the things for us a bit worse. I really hope there are no upsets cause I am gonna have a very hard august with all my paok friends and I wont be able to stand it

Ajax will have all the trouble against PAOK. Ajax always have trouble against ultra defensive teams.

Souras, do you support a Greek team?

No! I have stopped supporting Greek teams since 2004. Till then I was with AEK Athens. I just fancy my hometown team which in in the 4th division. I am an Ajax supporter since 1995. And I absolutely HATE paok

Ah, thanks. I used to go watch Panathinaikos play at Leoforos when I lived in Athens. I never became a fan of a Greek team, but I love the atmosphere. For the most part, anyway.

That's actually not as bad as I expected it to be.

Well 2 more weeks to go. El H would have played 2 games with the team and hopefully will have decent chemistry with them.

Didn't Braga throw out Celtic or someone pretty big? They seem like Giant killers, I think I may prefer Auxerre to them. Lets hope for Young Boys all the way though! Draw is Aug 6th.

The actual Giant killer was Young Boys, they defeated Fenerbahce in Turkey to go through. Celtic is quite like Ajax....an ex Giant I would prefer Braga or Auxerre... we tend to overlook oponents when we thinks its going to be easy.

I think they will let him transfer for €35 M but there are only one or two teams that could pay that kind of money and I'm not sure that they are in need of Suarez at this point. The only real possibility I can see might be Chelsea, but they may think the price is too steep. I think right now its about 80-20 that he stays at least to the January transfer window.

It's Dynamo Kiev. Don't like this one...

Well, we drew Dynamo Kiev -- pretty worrisome, imo -- we always seem to have problems with Eastern European teams.

Dynamo has already started their new season, played 4 games, winning 3 of them and scoring 9 goals. The main star their is aging Andriy Shevchenko. But he is still very good. There's one thing for sure - if we knock Dynamo out this will mean that Ajax can be competetive in CL.

I'm hopeful.
But realistically I think we're not going to go further.

There are no easy matches as we proved with PAOK. We need to firm up during the league matches we have prior to facing Dinamo Kiev. I'm not worried about Schevchenko, his best days are past.

Kiev are always in the CL these days. Not looking good. I would have preferred probably any of the others. Worst draw we could get but not surprising, we always get stiffed in the UEFA draws. I am surprised Spurs did not get them in Platini's quest to reduce the English teams!

the worst team we could match, not counting sampdoria who would have been more dangerous believe me.
but we can do it, especially with a good away game. I like very much artem milevskiy of them.
