2-1 full time. Only positive from this match is the amount of possession we had (70%) and that someone other than Suarez hit the back of the net. Otherwise it was very difficult to stay awake for this match.

Well, I only saw the last ten minutes or so, and maybe we didn't look great doing it, but what the hell, 2-1 - I'll take it!

Pretty workmanlike performance. I thought we were ok. It's never bad when you win away in Europe with 69% of the possession.

Got in just to see Siems goal . Wielaert was at fault for their goal . IMO this guy should not be in this club he is a piss poor defender. Atouba did not look too bad but when he went off Urby was supposed to be left back but nil marking by him nearly gave away a goal. Still we won that is the main thing but we need a decent central striker and another central defender obviously.

The only reason we won was because Slovan Bratislava sucked ass at finishing but i counted at least 3 clear chances to score for them. We sucked badly....really bad.


A win is a win...true. But you have to look at the big picture.

While this was a sleepwalking performance, I discount the importance. We had a five goal lead that turned into six following the away goal we got. I don't think the team was terribly motivated and Jol didn't look to bothered in the few camera shots that caught him. We went into the match with qualification 99.999% assured. Big thing was not to make big fools of the team or get anyone hurt. I think we succeeded on both those counts. Only worrisome thing was the Vertonghen yellow card on a silly tackle. I presume (don't know for sure) that this carries over to the group play.

I have to admit I did not see the first 25mins and I see Atouba nearly gave a goal away, so I was judging him on about 45 mins. He looked marginal better than v PSV but difference is that PSV are a vastly better team. I still think we need a proper left back. With him at left back and Wielart at centre we are going to leak a lot of goals.

Not wanting to be rude - the big picture is we won first leg 5-0 and could have played a team of 17 year old ajax players tonight and still went through. This game was probably most irrelevant we play all year, first leg 5-0 we were through already, i honestly seen no point in taking this game seriously - it was that much of a non-event that Kennedy got the winner for us - he will be lucky to be on bench come sunday.

Be real and look forward to EL draw today - as I say this is probably most irrelevant useless game the Ajax first team will play all year, no point in getting upset about it especially as we won
