Toby is poor today but Aissati is not much better. His passing is not working today and looses ball to often, one of them cost us a goal. Hoping for a much better half

Non existant defending for their goal , Wielaert and Toby no where Vertonghen should have done better.
How many times did we see our defence let in similar goals last season.Lovely goal by Gregory though.

It's a new year -- with a new coach -- but it's just like last year -- hand the opponent an easy goal against the run of play -- then can't put the ball in the net. If this is any indication, it's shaping up to be another in a too-long string of frustrating seasons.

Looking at their goal again did I get the wrong Belgium? Was that Toby who got brushed aside by their scorer? I am watching on sopcast which is quite good.

Shoulda, coulda, woulda -- same old 'do everything but put the ball in the net' as last year - it will surprise me if there is a second goal in this game.

Great second half and what a goal from Suarez. we should have had 7or 8 today .

We only looked like we were able to put some in the net after one of their players got sent off though.

To the match then. A four to one scoreline after 19 to 3 in shots is definitely not flattering to deceive . Could've been 8 but for a less weighty thru ball or a great Jurgen Wever save. Once again, our offense looks like it is less the problem than a defense that was too often scary and occasionally shambolic.

How many matches in a row does Toby Alderweireld need to get turned ? Two in a row according to the ESPN 360 broadcast and multiple rebroadcasts I'm now able to watch. Jan Vertonghen also had his shaky defensive moments.And Urby is no defender. Basically I just ruled out our left side defensively, at least on the strength of the first half vs. powerhouse RKC. I am not thrilled at the prospect of our defense vs. about 5 or 6 clubs in the Eredivisie. Thimothee Atouba and a new LCB; Vertonghen , Oleguer, or someone new; can't come a minute too soon for my liking.

Re; Ismail Assati , I know he was hardly stellar today, but it is going to be a real pity if defensive fraiilties don't even permit his inclusion. Heaven forbid when , perhaps as soon as next week, we are down and need to bring on an offensive skill set to help pip a goal.

Not a very consistent game. The first 20 minutes were good, and so were the last 20, but everything in between was a little sketchy.

Glad to see Enoh get some time. I've liked him since we got him, but don't know how he is going to fit in this years squad with de Zeeuw/Aisatti/Gabri/etc. Van der Wiel is looking better and better every game. Yeah Alderweireld looked awful defending almost all game. That's not exactly what we need. I was hoping Atouba would get some time, but we'd used all our subs in the end.

22 more to go for Suarez.

In my haste to bury our defense , I totally forgot to credit our captain for a lead the troops from the front performance !! Well done Luis Suarez !!

P.S. If the 360 announcer says 25 goal Suarez or does his Kingsmen impression , to wit " Louie Lou-eye " , one more time , I'm gonna watch with the sound down.
