Last season we had KJH in FC Godenzonen, the Ajax talkshow I regularly appear in as a 'house analyst' on AT5 television. The KJH show was real nice. After the show I gave him a signed copy of Vak 127, my 'supporters novel', as a thank-you-gift for all his goals. He really appreciated that: KJH is a reader. He reads loads of football books (he asked for recommendations and stuff). He was also totally impressed with the fact that I go to every away game.
Okay, so last week I was in Norway for IK Start vs Ajax. There were only some 180 Ajax supporters there. After the game all the players walk towards the away section for a 'salute to the diehards'. Jaap Stam takes the initiative by taking off his shirt and throwing it into the away end. The rest of the players do it as well. Then, KJH spots me, starts to smile and throws his shirt straight into my hands from close range. "Thanks for the book!"
Yay!
So I have it at home: Huntelaar match shirt ('European' version, so with the three Adidas stripes), number 9, UEFA Cup badge on one sleeve and the blue '4 Champions Cups' badge on the other.
I kid you not.

Okay, I stand corrected.

Well, PvH getting away with dirty stuff is hardly new or in any way controversial - you'll be telling me the same aboot Mark van Bommel or Stijn Vreven next. :nooo:
Seriously though, I didn't see Sundays game other than the goals (a real shame from what I've read!) but I do think Huntelaar is much more sinned against than sinning from what I have seen of him. The tackles already mentioned in the NAC game were a disgrace.
Perhaps Steef could find a link of all this alledged bad behaviour from King Klaas. After all, if it's as notorious as he is alledging then there must be plenty on You Tube or wherever.
BTW, before anyone starts, I'm not alledging Huntelaar is some sort of angel or anything, sure, I've seen him do some fouls, I just think that he is way more sinned against than sinning - a "summary" is just that, I assume that the really bad foul Ko talks about was included on the Talpa show (I'll see tommorrow when Setanta show the programme). Perhaps RTL7 are just being pro-F-word (or anti-Ajax!)
Did anyone else on here see the RTL7 show anyway? From what Steef has said is was a really mini highlights bit full of dirty play from Huntelaar - sounds a bit selective doesn't it?

That's really cool Ko - I'll have to sneak a look at that next time I'm over, being a bit of an Ajax-shirt fetishist

Why in the name of the Holy Cruyff should I apologize...?
A player should be sent off for this, but I never said that this particular foul did not happen. I said that
I didn't notice this one, and that I saw him commit only one dirty foul, for which he was booked. Which is all true. I was in the away section and never noticed this. But I never denied that it happened, nor did I accuse you of making things up.
What I
did say is:
1. KJH is not dirtier than any other striker
2. he definitely doesn't commit
more fouls worthy of a booking than the average defender marking him
3. I think it's frustrated bullshit to claim that TV stations deliberately ignore his fouls (but
do show the fouls of other players), because Huntelaar happens to be a) an Ajax players and/or b) the 'angel of Dutch football'. I just don't believe in all that "pro-Ajax and anti-my team" crap. Paranoid bollocks, if you ask me.
I don't see why I should apologize for any of these three points. They still stand and your little video is no evidence against them. The only thing I can say is: no, I didn't see this one - and yes, it is dirty. But that's not much of a confession, because I never denied it.

OK, well it looks like Steff took the challenge to provide the evidence.
A dirty foul yes, but I didn't say KJH was a saint either.
btw, Talpa didn't show Stam's booking either and I don't think anyone suggests he is any kind of saint.

I have to say, if you're gonna perform like an idiot, at least do it like a man. He should give Zidane a call on how to go out in style once deciding to hit someone.

If KJH had hit Materazzi (or any other Italian), he would have fallen over, rolled three times, clutched his ankle/neck/elbow/vagina, cried real tears, and composed a tragic poem about the whole affair.
These eredivise guys have so much to learn.
KJH injured

Bad news.
KJH collided with Jan Vertonghen in training today and twisted his ankle. He was carried off the training pitch with his ankle packed in ice. I just saw the footage on AT5 and it didn't look good.
He will be out for approximately two weeks, according to AT5. No KJH in Utrecht - that's for sure.
The timing could be worse, though: after the Utrecht game there will be no league or UEFA Cup action for two weeks. KJH will miss Holland's two Euro 2008 qualifiers, but there's a fair chance he will be back for Ajax - Groningen on the 14th.

That would be seriously shit (22 Oct: F-word away).

He hasn't been in sharp form lately, so though he is a valuable member he won't be sorely missed.

He's just been at the hospital and the doctor's diagnosis was correct: he will be out for two, possibly up up to four weeks. Which means he will miss (worst case scenario):
- Utrecht away
- Groningen at home
- UEFA Cup, 1st group game
- Feyenoord away
- Den Haag at home
- Heerenveen away
That sucks. Four weeks, and he misses Utrecht, Feyenoord and Heerenveen away... That really is shit. Get well soon, Klaas. Let's hope it's closer to two weeks than four

Amazing... In this week's issue of Voetbal International Henk ten Cate is quoted saying that KJH recovers unusually quickly from his ankle injury and that he might actually be ready for next weekend's game against Groningen...
That would be amazing. I don't really count on it to be honest, but he is apparently doing very well - which is good news anyway.

Good news. It will be great to have him back so soon. Even if he hasn't scored as much as we would all like to see he will always keep two defenders tied up in the center. Too bad for San Marco that he won't be ready to play agent orange in Bulgaria next weekend.

A story appeared in todays paper that Moan U want to buy him in Jan for £10m.
It does get a bit boring the press trying to sell our players. This week Milan were supposed to have offered 10m euros for Wesley only for his agent to say he had not heard from anyone.
Ajax are certainly not going to sell KJH in Jan. and I doubt they will sell him next summer unless we are talking in terms of £20m.( Moan U paid £18m for a moderate midfielder Carrick so they would have to stump up a bit more than £10m for KJH )

Now Arsenal want him in Jan. THe Daily Express reporter has obviously decided KJH will be coming to UK in Jan for £10m.Price agreed. What aload of F---ing crap these english papers talk.
Watching Arsenal they play 4-4-2 with Henry. V Persie, and Adeybeour as front men with 2 talented kids on loan Bendtner a Dane and Lupoli Italian. Not sure how he would even get on the bench next season!!!
Moan U play 4-4-2 with Saha and Rooney regulars with Ole Solkjaer back and scoring goals. They also have Smith in reserve and a young USA /Italian talent Rossi. KJH might just get on the bench.
I think he needs another 2 years of Dutch footy before he goes off to a stronger league. IF he went this next year he could end up another Keijzman.( failed at Chelsea failed at A Madrid now in the Turkish league and heading back to Serbia or wherever he came from!!! )
PS I am not belittling KJH but just pointing out that the above clubs do have plenty of striking talent.
PPS IS it not time a statement came from AJAX stating no players are being sold in January.

If it were up to me Ajax would never sell a player unless we have a better one at hand. However, with Ajax losing 7m Euro over the past season and no CL earnings in the current season I am afraid that Ajax will sell their best players soon. If not in January then surely next summer.

The main reason we lost 7m euros is that we lost about 10 players last summer and got next to nothing for them .
And had to pay what was it 3m euros for a 34 year old from Milan.( Not knocking the signing of Stam but come off it no other team in Europe has ever paid such an amount for a 34 year old.)
When it comes to transfers Ajax are run like a Sunday league side.Ajax have perfected the Bosman system !! ( Perhaps the board could learn from Milan ie sell 34 year olds for 3m euros and offer 8m euros for 19 year talented kids like Babel!! )
We will always lose players to the richer leagues as we still have the best youth system in Europe BUT we do not have to give good talent away for next to nothing. Allowing the likes of Nigel De Jong to go for 1m euros was a disgrace.
I note both Maduro's and Babel's contracts runs out in 2008 so I hope we do not lose them on the cheap.Heitinga and Rosales both run to 2008 so the club need to start sorting these 4 out before christmas 2006.
The only player we should sell in Jan is Grygera ,as his contract expires in 2007. Qualifying for next years Champions League will go along way to getting us back into the black and if we have had a good run in the UEFA Cup we might not have to sell any top players next summer.
