Only decided to definately go today and couldn't get a ticket for the home end so sat with the County fans who I can report whinge a lot ( :hypocrite.gif: ) and have quite the most bizzare chant I've heard yet. I know Notts are the Magpies but "you pies!" anyone lol :confused.gif:
Only just seen your post SE6 ... sorry.
Yes, Notts were pants apparently.
Yes, Notts fans whinge a lot, we always have done.
Yes, "You 'Pies!" is an abreviation of Magpies ... (You also sometimes hear someone shout "Come on you Maggies!").

It was just you pies that night. I think I can probably revise the Notts fans whine too much to "the Notts fan who sat behind me spent most of the time whinging at the linesman and everyone else".

I'll try and post some pictures when I get round to it, it was dark and I was in the stand away from the pitch with a small camera only but they do capture some of the atmosphere.

Forgive me if you find this off topic. But with the financial crisis effecting the Eurozone, isnt this eventually going to effect football. I personally am very concerned, like everyone else. I think the EU may survive, but I doubt the euro will. the PIIGS (Portugal, Ireland, Italy, Greece and Spain) should dump the Euro.

From what I hear around Greece, if we leave the Euro, in the begining it might seem as a solution. Analysts say that it will mark the begining of the end for the currency

Just finished watching the Copa Africa Final. Zambia did it!!! After the plane crash tragedy in the same city in 1993, the came back... from the dead and beat the favorites. Destiny games!!! It was very emotional...

P.S. It was better than watching our parliament voting the austerity measures and plunging our country to endless chaos... God help us!

It saddens me to see what is going on there in Greece.

My friend. Things here are only the outcome of decades of wrong money spending. Big conversation, but the truth is that all EU is going downwards, not because of us, portugal, spain etc. But because of the lack of a strong EU goverment that will make a stand against the big countries (USA, CHINA etc). We are only going to get poorer if we continue to produce debts...

Truth. Now, go and explain it to our (bulgarian) goverment :rules.gif:

Juventus have today confirmed they are taking Man U 's 18 year old Paul Pogba when his contract ends in June and will pay him £1m per year with Raiola getting over £1.5m

Just proves it is not just so called little clubs like Ajax who can be raided of their youth but in this case it is a bit different to us losing Ouasim Bouy . Man U are one of the richest and bigeest clubs in the world but Pogba is not some local kid but French and they stole him from Le havre when he was 16 .

I am still fed up with losing Bouy but this story at least cheered me up .

Athletic defeated Man Utd in a good fashion. Bielsa is their coach now and I'd very much like to see him at Ajax someday. Though i highly doubt it can happen...

A cool and cloudy Friday here in Bethesda so I decide to watch the Dortmund/Stuttgart Bundesliga match. Just f**king unbelievable. Dortmund look like they are coasting to a 2-0 win with only 20 minutes to go in the match. Stuttgart snatch a goal back and then another and then yet another to go up 2-3. Dortmund equalize and then go ahead with a goal in the 87th minute but can't defend the lead and Stuttgart again equalize in stoppage time. I've never seen a match like this one. Both managers realize they were just part of something special and go out on to the pitch to congratulate everyone involved. Some of the players on both sides appeared to be totally shocked at the results. Don't know if there is a stream that will be posted but the last 20 minutes of this match were just incredible!

We have a channel that shows the Bundesliga matches -- and shows replays of all the matches during the week. I'll keep my eye out for when they show this one.

Never a fan of Giorgio Chinaglia nor the Cosmos, but very sad to hear of his passing today, aged 65. He was definitely larger than life on the american football scene.
