Its a shame Volendam didnt make it,I have heard from my mate OPH that its a great place to visit for an away game,lots of beer and herring.There was even some talk of travelling there by boat.

Yeah - Volendam away is great.

But I must say: Sparta is not bad either. It will be a combi (because they don't want us to travel to 'F-Word City' by our own means, obviously), but it's a nice ground, a great club and always a good fix of footie. Problem is that the away end is quite small, but we'll sort it out.

Yeah, we should go to a Volendam home game some time next season. Preferably a Noord-Holland derby against Haarlem or Telstar. Or perhaps against the great Go Ahead Eagles.

They play their home games on Friday eve (almost all First Division games are on Friday), so perhaps we can pick one in a weekend when Ajax play on Saturday evening. Something like that.

Oh well - plenty of time to think about it.

All up for going to see Volendam against the mighty Go-Ahead Eagles. Not only do GAE have a great name but they play in the same shirts and colours as the one and only Partick Thistle FC, Ra Jags, the Harry Wraggs - the only team in Glasgow.

Wonder how the GAH away support would react to a few mad scotsmen in their midsts wearing the same colours etc.

Police have thus far arrested 30 men, whose photos were shown on television and the internet, because they were involved in mid-April fighting after the Feyenoord-Ajax soccer match. Most of them (25 to be exact) turned themselves in to the police.

Justice Minister Donner said this in a session with the Second (lower) House of Parliament. Police already had 43 people in custody immediately after the April 17 "classic." In the following weeks, another 39 people were arrested, 30 of which were arrested as a result of their images being shown on the "Opsporing Verzocht" telvision show and the internet.

The police have identified a further 5 individuals involved in the violence, but Donner could not say more, because they haven't been apprehended.

Totally deserved draw for the team from Almelo...PSV had the better chances, but really never looked like winning. Cheers to Heracles!

Half-time score: F-word 1, NAC Breda 0. Goal scored by Pardo in the 24th minute. I have a very strong feeling that NAC will get a result there. It's not based on anything in particular (I am not even following the game), but I still think so. NAC will score in the second half; now let's just hope it will be one of those free-kicks by Van Whoredonk.
