Certainly hope Vertonghen's transfer goes through, and that El Hamdaoui is finally gone. But after the last 3 weeks or so, nothing seems certain with the transfer drama.
Coupled with Overmars coming aboard Ajax should be able to move ahead with getting some new players and deciding which of the young players will move up to the first team.
Boilesen is still out injured, as well as Suleijmani, Enoh and this last week Ajax had a bit of a scare with Boerrigter out of training after going to the hospital for evaluation. Nothing serious but this too must be a worry for DeBoer.

Another captain bites the dust! If the El Hamdoui transfer doesn't go through he should be made captain and then will get snapped up quickly.

Glad it finally got resolved -- now we can move on and prepare well for the coming season without any uncertainties.

Sounds like Anita wants to go to England ,I still think if Newcastle offer 10m euros he will go this summer.Having a meeting with de Boer this week with his agent and parents.Ajax have made no effort to extend his contract ,unless they offer him an improved deal I fear he will be off.

With Vertoghen only being sold for 9m euros or less depending on his cut, and V DWiel probably going nowhere Ajax will need the Anita money as I have a horrible feeling El Ham wont go to Fiorentina. It was reported last Weds all was agreed clearly they want a payoff from us . Had we paid him off back in January Fiorentina were going to pay us more money then.

Just to make matters worse another waste of money is now back with us Cvitanich training with the 1st team today.

Rodney Sneijder goes to RKC Walwijk on a two year contract. Just couldn't make it in a crowded midfield group at Ajax.

This has got to be the dictionary definition of addition by subtraction. What a relief.

what a relief this waste of space has gone. We lost about 8m euros on him.

We were in Florence on holiday in May and I was talking football with one of the shop owners there. Little did I know that MEH would be headed over there. I did pick up a Fiorentina cap and do like their cool colors!

English press seem to suggest Man u may be offering 20m euros for Eriksen although Eriksen 's agent has dismissed this as made up rumours.Fischer to go as apart of the package for another 6m !! They say we have lined up Maher of Az as replacement.

^I don't think it was that much (maybe €2M) and at the time he already had made a couple of appearances for the Uruguay NT. He was on their WC team in 2010 and is on the current Olympic team that will play in England. Had he not been injured so much, his career at Ajax might have taken a different turn. He did step in last spring when all of the strikers were out injured and did a workman like job.
