According to what I've read on several sites, KJH is off to Milan . VI says the move will occur Thursday.

back on topic, it seems lazio will sign bengtsson over AZ... does that mean lugano is back in play for us? i really hope so

It's not personal by any means. I've been following international football since the WC in 1966 and spent two years in the Netherlands in the middle 1970s where I watched numerous Ajax matches with my cousin who had season tickets. I seen lots of so called wunderkinder come and go over these years. I had hopes for Freddy when he first signed with DC United but never saw any progression. He didn't get any bigger or faster. I think we can let this one close out and revisit things after this season to see how he does on the pitch. Honestly, I would like to see him succeed (as I do every American who comes to Europe to play) but I just cannot see what kind of position he can play. The player he most resembles in terms of the type of player he is is Van Der Vaart but he's not even as quick as Raffie or as skilled.

Yeah, unfortunately I agree. He seems to be just the kind of player we need and it's a shame we couldn't have made a move sooner. I can only hope Suarez has been talking in his ear.

I am so worried about the transfer policy. we need a defender and even more a tall striker. why I say even more? because we can hope that Jol with hard work could be able to organize a good defence with the men he already has (although not good enough), but you can't organize a good attack, if you don't even have the men: the only cvitanich as a pure striker is not enough at all in a long season.

lugano will never come, but it's exactly the kind of player ajax needs. expert and nasty in a squad of good babies. a leader.

He played in the starting 11 vs Celtic in a friendly and he wasnt great tbh, but it was a makeshift defense and he's barely played so i'd put that down to lack of playing experience. I'd certainly welcome him, but Im not sure if he'd be first choice at Ajax either

in a similar interwiev Dervite is reported saying that he just wants to play for a coach who trusts younger players..well in this case we would be in pole position, cause Villareal seems to want him just for the reserves and tottenham also does not want to sell the player immediately, so ajax could bring him on loan and next year we'll see.
I say: do it, is a youth international after all.
