Can't believe how cowardly Steve McClaren was yesterday keeping first teamer's out of the lineup at the start of the match. Twente deserved to be thrashed and they were.

Twente were not doing too bad when they went 1-0 up and 2-0 overall but then my hero The Hunter took them to the cleaners. Twente do not have a big squad so you cannot blame them for resting one or 2.

I was watching the entertaining Sporting/ManCity match so didn't see the Twente game. What is really weird is Ajax must have the deepest squad in terms of available talent in the league. Look at all the injuries that we've suffered this year (only Vertonghen and Eriksen have not been out injured, correct???) and yet we came close to qualifying for CL knockout, beat ManU at Old Trafford and are still in the hunt for the league title. Pretty amazing.

Correct you are. When you look at AZ and how thin their squad is, it's really amazing that they have avoided the loss of players for any significant time.

If their medical team is looking for a job change, there are some vacant positions at this football club in Amsterdam starting this summer. It probably pays more than at AZ as well.

AZ just dropped 2 points at home! Another great weekend for Ajax

yes another good result for us AZ drawing . So they lead us by 1 point and have a cup game mid week followed by 2 midweek Europa games . We must be favourites if we beat PSV next week .

I still believe Siggy and Boerrigter getting fit and starting will be a big bonus for us in those last few games.

A failed clearance gave Twente the second goal and the barely hold on to win 1-2 as Grafschaap have several good chances to even in the final 10 minutes.

Damn. De Graafschap could have grabbed a result there!

Anyway: everybody has now played 26 games. Ajax are second, Twente third because their goal-differential is better than PSV's.

Not quite correct; AZ have to drop points to some other club since we have played them twice in the league already.

My mistake -- I thought we had another game against them.
