I'm not sure either and maybe one of the Dutch members can weigh in here. I also would be interested in hearing whether Castillion has a future with the team. I know he's scored some goals for Waalwijk but still not clear that he is a first choice striker.

Andre Oojier has announced his retirement as of the end of this season. No surprise here.

I hope Ooijer will become a coach at some level with Ajax. Our developing CB's could learn a thing or three from a consummate pro like Andre Ooijer.

Ok this should be in the silly rumours items .Some Italian press story today that Juve want Klaassen and believe it will cost them 5m. Inter, Bayern Munich and Man U also fancy him.
The article then says Juve have a good relationship with Ajax due to the transfer of Bouy ,which is of course complete nonsense.Also Bouy is helping Juve by talking to Klaassen.

Klaassen has clearly impressed these clubs in the Next Gen Series but has just signed a contract to 2016 and has played in our 1st team already and will be in our first team next season.

Clearly we have talent and Fischer Klaassen and Denswil would be snapped up by the foreign teams however they realise that Ajax is the best place for their development. Ouasim Bouy took the money and will never be heard of again .

It's always a shame, but you can understand why they some kids want to take the money. Even if they never play a game of senior football, they're financially set for life.

Seems that several Premier League are interested in Vertonghen : Newcastle United, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City, Aston Villa and Liverpool.

the only positive thing there for me is that Arsenal hate Spurs, and vice versa, so maybe a bidding war will errupt!

I think he will end up in Barcelona.

If he wants to win anything he wont go to Arsenal .Their ambition is finishing 3rd . They wont want to pay as much money as anyone else.

Looks like Rodney Sneijder may be leaving. FdB basically told him that he is no better than third choice at his position and the club would not stand in his way if he wants to seek a better playing opportunity. No surprise here particularly with some very good youth players also coming up in the next year or two.

True, but still a pity to me. Rodney Sneijder has got some sort of fanatic attitude, a 'I would rather die than lose a game spirit' that many other Ajax players are missing.

If I can remember the last Ajax - Utrecht game, he got some wrong spirit over there.

Castillion has been told the same thing so I expect the 2 to leave. Evidently Aissati has had no offer from Ajax and expects to leave.He has done very well in recent weeks but that has been in the wing position .At 1m euros per year in salary Ajax cannot possibly offer that sort of money to someone who when everyone is fit will be a sub.

Signing Schone will mean somebody in the midfield must make way?

Most likely Lodeiro and Aissati will leave.

Nothing heard about Lodeiro who has 2 years of an option .Cannot believe we will just say leave on a free .We could just extend his option and send him out on loan.However against that is we may end up paying some of his wages and we may still end up in a years time let him go. We will wait and see but it does look asif Aissati and Lodeiro will not be staying .

So let me get this straight. We release attacking players such as Lodeiro and Aissati. We tell Rodney Sneijder that he has no place. But we sign only ONE attacking midfielder. Looking back at last year, we had so many injuries. Oh dont forget Thulani Serarro has been dissapointing. Personally I hope Rodney stays and fights for his place. Janssen is old and unreliable. Davey Klassen is still very young (but promising), however he lacks experience.

Loderio and Aissati played as wingers and not midfielders .Just seen that of the loan youngsters Bonevacia is the same as Sneijder Castillion ie if they return they wil be in Jong Ajax .
Ajax will talk to Bizot next week and the young goalie will likely stay out on loan as he has picked up an injury this season with Cambuur .All these 4 have contracts to 2013,the other youngster out on loan Jozefzoon has a contract to 2012 with a 1 year option but Ajax wont retain him .

Still plenty of time to sign other players if we need to. I have more trust in us nowadays than I did five years ago.

no decision on our 3rd goalie as yet .Bizot still has a year left on his contract but could still stay out on loan at Cambuur or elsewhere.
