well Twente turned up at Utrecht with a goalkeeper for a start !! I see they won 6-2.

5-1 now and AZ really look quite poor. Perhaps the EL competition is catching up with their rather thin squad. We just need to win our last two matches before the winter break and let the rest of the chips fall where they may. Glad we already played Heerenveen away!!!

A heavy defeat in the rain, muck, and mire of Heerenveen (if Jozy Altidore's tweet is right) ? Brings back memories of an Ajax nightmare or two. Anyway, Ajax definitely beneficiaries of dropped points by PSV and AZ. Next up...Take RKC to the wood shed next week, RKC lost 4:0 at Vitesse today, and let the chips fall where they may.

Twente lose to Feyenoord; AZ lose to NAC so things are getting a little tighter at the top.

Oh dear I did not look at the PSV score when I posted above . They are 3-0 up away at Heerenveen .So we will finish 5 points off the top at half way and we have had loads of injuries,playing with the hugh handicap of no striker also.

The second half of the season can only get better and I do see us chasing PSV for top spot with Az and Twente below us. Will be nice if today's rumour that Liverpool want Strootman and Wijnaldum in January come true but I wont hold my breath.

More amazing is how bad Jeremain Lens has become. What has happened with him?

Best team that money can buy wins in ET as Douglas inexplicably totally misses a header giving Matavz a clear run on goal.

Rumor has it that Twente president Joop Munstermann and Co Adriaanse don't get along, and that Co is already on his way out, kind of.

Twente reportedly want Steve McClaren back, but he is said to be waiting for PSV to contact him.

According to some news sites Mc Laren is going back to Twente.
Co doesn't appear to get on with the players nor the staff.

It's official : Co out, and Mc Laren in. Good news for Ajax.

i think twente has real problems at the minute, especially if they lose a few players this jan.
