Never thought they would defense set plays like Ajax. Woeful performance from their defense today.

Very early days obviously but I just checked the Jupiler League table and it's refreshing to see FC Eindhoven (who the KNVB wanted to kick out of the league altogether a couple of years back) in first place with Fortuna Sittard (who almost went bust a couple of years back) and Almere City (who finished bottom last year) also in the top four.

No real preference on who comes up rhis year but would be good too see one of these three do well.

Yup. Also sad for the Dutch Eredivisie. We need good players, whether they play at Ajax or the competition.

Fulham is below his standards, average at most in the PL. Still seems to be difficult to get to a (real) big club when you're at Twente. Doesn't help that Elia and Arnautovic both failed in other competitions.

I'm curious to see how he turns out in England. I never rated him that highly, though he had flashes of brilliance. I see him as another Afonso Alves, did very well in Holland, but won't produce after he leaves. Only time will tell, but as others have said, just another way Twente is weakened.

Less than 24 hours to go, seems we will be hanging on to our key players, though wish surplus like El Hamdaoui (etc.) would leave already.

VI is unfortunately now talking about a Matavz to Bulb City for 5 years deal.

EXCLUSIEF - PSV en FC Groningen hebben een akkoord bereikt over de transfer van Tim Matavz (22). Mits de Sloveense spits de medische keuring doorstaat, tekent hij een vijfjarige verbintenis bij de Brabanders.

Matavz (22) zal later vandaag in de Sloveense hoofdstad Ljubljana gekeurd worden door PSV. PSV heeft een arts naar Slovenië gestuurd.

De spits speelt komende vrijdag met Slovenië tegen Estland. Matavz heeft zelf al een persoonlijk akkoord met PSV.
