Yes cheers, highest league position for 33 years whether we go up or not so I can't complain. And Croydon Athletic (the team I actually pay to watch) won the league (Ryman Division One South) so not a bad season all in all.

What league will Croydon be in next season? I know the league structures are weird at non-league level. I watch Leamington who are now Southern Premier Divsion.

They've gone from Ryman (Isthmian) Division One South to the Ryman Premier League so the same level (Step 3) as Leamington.

Where I work, we have been doing a lot of work with heat maps recently. And I've been thinking a lot about Ajax recently. Particularly about how mediocre the first half of the season was and then how incroyable the second half of the season turned out. I thought it might make for an interesting heat map. And then I thought the whole eredivisie might show an interesting heat map. And then I thought some other leagues might be interesting to look at too. Anyway, check out some of the results. Likely to be expanded at some point; equally likely to be taken down at any moment. Maybe some of you will enjoy it though.

I really hope Blackpool can do it. Not least because I don't want to see a Welsh team in the English Premiership, and one of which trouble follows them everywhere they go.

Oh, and of course because it would be the best awayday in the league!!

Off to Wembley on Saturday for the play off final and arguably (with the 1953 FA Cup Final and the other two they lost) the biggest game in Blackpool's 123 year history.

To mis-quote the Mastercard advert, over 2 hours on the phone to the ticket office, £53.00 for the ticket but a win would be priceless.

OMG Premier League Blackpool. I seriously NEVER thought I would be able to say that. Excellent game, excellent support and a fantastic day out. Didn't expect this when I first started watching them - Division 4, Mansfield Town Away my first game.

Didn't see any Ajax shirts but I hear we had some fans over from Houston Dynamo - some sort of link up due to tangerine shirts.

Really great day anyway, and worth a reported £90 million pounds including parachute payments if/when* we come down again.

* the wild optimism of pre-season.

I'm really going to enjoy this while it lasts - hopefully we can get a four sided ground again now.

I was happy last week as Oxford U are back in the league . I may live in Sussex but I was born in the city of dreaming spires , about 5 mins from their old ground the Manor, and I always look at their results.

Yeah, I remember from before. Never heard anything about this fans link before though - heard someone talking on the train so don't know how "official" it is.

I still can't get used to the fact that I support a Premier League team, not too sure about it all really....

Really pleased Blackpool won that game. Holloway has done one hell of a job there.

Looking forward to a visit to Blackpool with Villa next season.
