I'd like to see him stick around at least two more years. He's a true Ajax man, perhaps he'll stay even longer than that.

De Zeeuw is going to Spartak Moskva I don't know what to think,since Demy was one of myfavorite players. I don't understand this move. On the other hand, he's 28 and we have young midfielders like Serero, Rits and Van der Heijden, who will get his chance, i think. So maybe is not so bad, but iliked him and Lindgren.

What's not to understand? He is 28, and Moscow offer many more €s than Ajax. Bigger bank account for Demy.

I'll miss Demy, he had a good eye for the goal despite being a midfielder. He did however played below his abilities sometimes for ajax, particularly against real madrid in spain. I wish him well anyway.

Well, i don't like this transfer. Demy is excellent palyer. He had some flops last season, but that was 'couse of the WC and the nasty mouth-injury he had. I'm sure next season he'll be autstading. Too bad he's going

cvitanich on loan to boca juniors (with an option to buy at 2.5 mln) seems almost done now

Deny de Zeeuw has joined Spartak Moscow according to their site.The amount being suggested is between 7 and 8 m euros although other reports state nearer 6m euros. This is a good deal for the club . Cvitanich is back in Argentina for his medical and his loan transfer should go through very soon.

Only need to get rid of El Ham,Aissati and Silva to complete the clearout of unwanted players.

IMO we could use Aissati.

Didn't we sign Demy for between €6.5-> €7.5 million million?
So despite leaving as a Champion, his value has fallen?

Well, he is a couple of years older and closer to being past his prime. Also, much as I like him and would be happy to have him remain with Ajax, last year was not his best one -- maybe he will rebound in the coming year (I hope so, no matter that it's not for Ajax), or maybe it's a sign that the clock is starting to wind down. So when they evaluate him, they may not figure he is worth what he was when we got him.

Eriksen, Janssen, and de Jong start. Anita is either in defense or first off the bench in midfield (or starting when one of the other three take a rest). Demy left for consistent first team football, and Ajax got what they could.

I'm personally quite sad and dissapointed to see de Zeeuw leave, i would have much rather kept a fit Demy, than sign Janssen. I just believe he is a better player. Other than Theo having a good left foot (which if you really look at last season, is hit and miss to say the least) Demy (for me) beats him hands down in every other department.

Demy was mainly sub last season thus getting 6 to 7m for him was good business imo.With Janssen,Rits and Serero joining and Jan-Arie back plus a fit Lodeiro I think Demy had to go .
