i hope Real will sign Roben (fee about 30mln) and they won't spend another 25-30mln for Wesley

I think they already have signed Robben, and it's Real Mad(rid) that we're talking about so that type of logic doesn't always compute....

Madrid got Drenthe and apparently Robben as well, so I dont see why they would need Wesley.

Wesley claims he has heard nothing, so I hope its nothing serious.

First Van der vaart and now Sneijder, Schuster realises that Dutch players are better than German :biggrin.gif:

The Robben deal looked done and dusted.
But Voetbal International is now saying a reliable source at Real says they've given up on Robben, hence the interest in Wesley...

Apparently the 24m euro bid is true, Van Geel is quoted to have confirm it.

It's a lot of money but let's be serious: the players Ajax have been getting to replace players that have left aren't of the same calibre or better, so replacing Sneijder will be hard.

Let's hope the club stays firm and Sneijder stays one more season.

weren't we asking 30mln to Valencia just a few weeks ago?

Madrid are looking for a winger not a midfielder...i think its crap......wesley wont go...simple. After giving up on Robben madrid are going after Quaresma now.

Wesley may indeed wish to honor his earlier one more season commitment , but after the Zlatan deal , I'll only believe he's staying when he stays and it's too late to deal.

It makes no sense to derail your own clubs hopes by leaving a void in the side too great to be filled at short notice , but this is football. In football , common sense isn't standard . Like satellite radio or GPS in cars , it's only an option.

HTC says he's "already thinking about the season without Sneijder".

Ajax dont want to sell him, and will "fight" but if Real offer 30 or more million I doubt Sneijder will stay. Only God knows, lets hope he stays!!!!

If we get lots of money AND a replacement in short time i would accept this deal. But without Sneijder's decent replacement this season we are lost...

The season starts next week . The CL qualifying round shortly thereafter . I can't believe a replacement can be found , signed , vetted , and fully immersed in the side ( knows his teammates tendencies ,etc..) in a F***ING week,

If this move goes thru , the treacherous bastards responsible should immediately be FIRED! I understand football = business , but potentially pulling the rug out on your own season isn't in any business model I've ever looked at. Well , except the Leeds business model.

P.S. F*** Madrid! It's ashame there's not some tampering charge those assholes could be hit with. For this last minute horse crap even if they don't get the player , I wish them only pain and suffering. My voodoo doll is on order.

LucaS , Thanks for setting me straight. You're correct of course. In the midst of my impassioned ravings , I forgot that the 15th does indeed come before the 19th....D'OH!

I also feel "a Zlatan"... and I'm already seriously pissed off with all this crap. Ajax and Sneijder said 3 weeks ago or less that he was staying, and it must be the end of the story. No matter how much whatever club offers.

It all comes down to Wes, since Ajax are greedy bastards who will accept any high bid.

Let's hope he stays although its reported that hes ready for a transfer. Why cant Chelsea just let Robben go :confused.gif: .....

But if Sneijder leaves, the season is lost.

This article makes it sound like Ajax already thinks Wesley is going:

http://www.football365.com/story/0,1703 ... 60,00.html

"Wesley told us that he is ready for the transfer," said Van Geel.

"I am already thinking about life without him. If he goes that would be a great shame, really, a pity," said HTC, who has previously stated that the loss of Sneijder would be a huge blow to Ajax's Eredivisie chances.

No way
The only possibility to give up sneijder is if Real buys Kaka
and then trade with Ajax Kaka for sneijder :onfire.gif: :ajaxscarf.gif:

Spanish media also say that Real are thinking about Van der vaart, so its between VdV and Wes.-not both.

If HSV and VdV are willing to go on ahead with a transfer before Ajax, we'll still have Sneijder. Only problem is VdV is 10x more important to the club than Wes to Ajax, HSV are more reluctant to let him go, and VdV is a strong Barca fan.

I like both players and wouldnt mind seeing one of them at real, but I want Sneijder to stay for our title sakes.

Thank God he is staying! He cant be leaving now, they arent other nasty clubs as Real that plunder us no matter what the price.

Real dropped out, so he'll most likely stay now!

Ajax's ultimatum seemed to work :onfire.gif:
