Yes, but this would not be until next summer at the earliest. Two reasons, Alex is injured and they really need help in the central defense (priority mentioned by Ancelotti) and second, Bosingwe is out of contract this June and the club probably wants to go with someone younger and maybe less expensive.

More like Urby will leave for Liverpool this month than Suarez. Do not see them paying 25m euros for a player when the whole club is in a mess and no CL football next season. From what Redknapp is saying I do not think Spurs will buy him this month either.

Sounds less like a reality and more like "I'd love to have this dance -- if only someone would ask me."

Eriksen has said to day he is not interested in going to Milan and wants to stay at Ajax which is the best place for him to develop. No surprise at all in that.

I've seen a number of Twitter messages this morning that Emanuelson is going to Milan at the end the year on a free transfer but also that the club might want him now. It would be good to get at least something for him even if it's only a €1 M. Danny Blind looked quite lively in the match on Wednesday and is a capable replacement.

my understanding is that he's leaving at the end of the season. but if the mafia wants him now, i say they can have him. at least we get some cash, and we won't pay his salary for another half year. there are plenty of others who can fill his spot.

I'm not sure I believe this as according to the Ajax site, Urby is in the matchday roster for tomorrow against Utrecht.

Curious to have a farewell appearance in an away match. I guess we will know for sure early next week.

That was the suggestion of why he is in the squad. I assume he may get 5mins .

I always liked Urby as a player -- his shooting skills could stand some improving, but he always gave everything he had, and while not the greatest defender, in the games I watched him in he was decent enough -- he was never as terrible as some people make him out to be.

Have to agree with the sentiment that it is a mistake to go to Milan, though. Along with the money, he will also get lots of splinters in his butt from sitting on the bench. Seems like these young players never learn from the sad experience of the ones who have gone before.

From ESPN Soccernet: Mido has joined Egyptian side Zamalek after his stay at Ajax turned sour. Too bad really as we could use him as a target man these days!

Rumour that Willem may loan Suk and I do expect Bodul will get a loan this week also.
Injuries may stop some others on my list ie. Cvitanich is out for afew weeks and wont go but Silva has a shoulder injury and the OS injury list shows Tainio has a hamstring injury so those 2may not go.
Silva of course is a problem in that his contract runs to 2012 . The other fringe player who I think should go on loan is Donald but he injured a hamstring way back in early December with the Jong and may still be injured.

Bottom line we may have to wait for the end of the season for the big clear out.

Isn't there some kind of salary issue with Suk because he is an imported player? I recall (vaguely) seeing something that if we do loan him and then bring him back we have to pay him the full salary that all foreign players are eligible for rather than the smaller amount we currently pay.

I think his contract will expire in July 2011.
