Yup, it's still in Ukraine...

Dynamo Kiev now play Metalist Kharkiv, the same team they played for the cup eight days ago. This time it's a league game.

I hope Dynamo will hold on to the Helmond Cup until they're up against Inter or Barcelona...

Fortunately they won, this keeps the hopes of an international take-over (in the CL) alive! I've had it, with the cup residing in the Ukraine for so long...

Yep. If they fuck up against a team like Zorya, we might be stuck in Ukraine for a looooong time... It's really important Dynamo Kyiv keep winning until they play Inter or Barcelona.

It's a bit of a drag, this. The big teams in Ukraine never lose domestically.

I don't know but it was sure sweet to see the 4-3-3 played to perfection. They are so fast on the ball in the midfield that Dinamo were on their heels all match long.

Third cup actually . Spanish Super Cup (bt Athletic Bilbao over two legs ) and UEFA Club Cup or whatever the match between CL and UEFA winners is called. Zlatan has fit in very well . I've watched all Barca matches or listened on Radio Barca ( the commentators are Nick Simons and Steve Archibald) and he hasn't missed a beat. Barca could play even better if The Pale One (Iniesta) was healthy. Zlatan has a goal in each league match thus far , according to Monsieurs Simons and Archibald.

Oh yeah, you're right B3, third cup. I'm also fairly fortunate re Barca games as ESPN show all their league games as repeats on 'Barca TV'. What that means in practise though is that I've got about 4 recorded to watch when and if I ever get time.

Where should the Helmond Cup go next?

I'd like to see it leave Europe and end up someplace like Qatar or China.

And then let Ko keep track of its whereabouts as it travels through the Yi League or the lower divisions of the الاتحاد القطري لكرة القدم‎...

Barca will play in the world club championship later this year I believe. Thus, it is possible for the cup to move to a new continent.

How awesome would it be if a club like Boca Juniors won the cup?

Definitely! But.. what is our purpose on this issue? Do we want the Cup to travel around the world as much as possible, in such exotic places we can't even track it anymore, or do we secretly want it back in Amsterdam a.s.a.p.??

I want it to travel a lot. That's great.

And it would be great if it would (briefly) return to Holland somehow.

But it's the movement that makes this thing fun. Would be fun if it somehow goes to the Second Division in Argentina. But it wouldn't be that much fun if it stayed there for two years.

It's just interesting to follow it and see what happens, really.

I'd love to see it back in Amsterdam, but I think it would be even cooler if it ended up there after going to Japan, Africa, South/North America first.

Is Ko the only one left that is still tracking the Helmond Cup or are the guys who originally came up with the idea still involved?

What happens if a cup holder ceases to exist? Clubs can lose their license, go bankrupt or whatever. Would that be the end of the ride for the HC? Or might it go back to the first winner (Helmond Sport) or to the club that has won it most or perhaps to the club that lost it last? Wonder if the original creators thought about this one...
