Real Madrid want Ouazane and I have a feeling we have been too late and he will go.He was 16 back in January so I wonder why Ajax did not try and sign him well before then. I do keep rough stats of U17 and U19 of who plays and subs and he started 8 u17 games but never played a full 90mins. For U19 4 sub games.

All posters on showtime say he is ready for the 1st team and is the biggest talent at the club. I do wonder how Simeon the U17 winger is rated , he was only 15 back in December but spent most of the season in U17 and was in their starting lineup at 14.

An article on Showtime that Simeon has still not agreed with Ajax and foreign sides are interested. Oh dear he and Ouazane are the greatest talents in our youth but losing them would be a hugh blow. Simeon is not 16 until December and Ajax really should have had him agreed by his 15th birthday.

PSV and Feyenoord are probably looking at him as we have about 8 other wingers under contract who will be in U19 next season but this lad should be starting at U19

It was only six months ago that we were all moaning that Bounida was going to leave. He signed a contract extension and will likely see first team football at some point next season. We have no idea what is happening behind the scenes at Ajax. I'm sure that management is aware of the talents and foreign interest. They likely have plans for these players and are communicating to them. If they are not interested in staying with Ajax, they should move on. As with Misehouy (another who was labeled the top talent in the youth system!), the club will not miss them. If they are interested in developing their career rather than picking up some big money and then being discarded after a couple of years, good luck and good by.

Ouazane reported to be joining Real ,which is no surprise. Still dont know why we did not start contract talks back last summer . Seems like we started back in January when he reached 16.Went to African U17 championships was the best player and I think Ajax's chance was gone then .

Think foreign clubs are offering Simeon a big contract for when he is 16 in December.

We can easily sign the lesser talents but last year Misehouy left and now likely the 2 best talents in the youth. We of course do the same ie Hato comes from Sparta, Mokio and Bounida from Belgium. We should be lucky Uk is out the EU as they cannot sign kids until they are 18 from EU countries.

No 16 year old has ever left Ajax and made it abroad. Malen left for Arsenal but returned to PSV aged 18 and broke through from there.. Ake now Man City and Bogarde now Villa both left for England aged 16 and have made it ,both Feyenoord youths.

Ajax have a financial problem as all small country teams do. We cannot splurge big money on 16 year olds. All the club can do is promise a fair chance to make the first team and point to the success that other players such as Hato have found. Hato now has a big transfer value that he would not have had as a 16 year old. If the kids want to leave, there is nothing Ajax can do. As SPL notes, Ajax have taken some 16 year olds from other clubs. This is the way of football these days.

Ouazane is off to Real ,not yet official. Ajax youth season finished yesterday and both U15 and U16 played Feyenoord sides in title playoffs but in both games Ajax lost on penalties.

Ouazane now confirmed to Real . Ajax started negotiations back in Sept and he rejected 3 lots of offers .So it seems like we did our best but Real came along and money won.

Hope we can keep Simeon ,although not 16 to December nobody can sign him until then .He can of course go in the summer and sign in Dec, really only Holland Belgium and Denmark Norway where you can sign contracts at 15.

Agree with SPL about the money issue. Ajax have such a great academy with lots of talented players. They cannot give huge € contracts out like candy without getting into financial trouble. All they can promise is a fair chance to play first team football at an early stage. Of course Ajax are also guilty of poaching players from other academies so it is not like our club is totally innocent in this practice. I hope Ouazane makes it at Madrid as it will be a feather in Ajax's cap about how to develop youth players. Unfortunately, the record for Dutch youth going abroad is not all that great.

His 18 year old brother ,Zacharia is joining Real C team ie Reserve 2nd team. He is a forward with our U19 but played little this season and was being released. The family now have both bros at Real loads of money now so good luck to them.

News that our best 15 year old Ilia Grootfaam a mf, has an offer from Feyenoord of a 3 year contract and he will play U17. He is due to play for our U16 's so not sure how big a talent he is.

Losing someone to Real ,the worlds biggest club is one thing ,but losing another 15 year old to Feyenoord suggest our academy is not being run properly.We dont now give 15 year olds contracts but last summer Zinhagel and de Koning both left aged 15 and they were top talents.

By giving contracts at 15 Ajax feel they will have problems having to renew at 17 but this is nonsense if you are losing talent to Feyenoord.

If Simeon leaves then our best 3 youths have gone in one summer. Ajax are busy signing foreign kids but need to keep our 15 year olds from our biggest rival.

I would say that if our 15 year old kids are so desperate for money they want to sign for Feyenoord at 15 rather than wait a year for one here then good riddance they are clearly motivated by money and could indeed want to leave at 18 on a free when EPL clubs can sign them.

Grootfaam is leaving for Feyenoord and Simeon is looking to join them although Germany could be calling .What is going on at our youth as leaving for Real is one thing but I do wonder if there are real issues in our youth.

.... but it looks like we are picking up a couple of talents, one from PSV and the other from AZ. I think we also got a Feyenoord youth this year as well. I think this is always going to happen. My worry is that the club will continue to purchase players from other countries which does not send a good message to the Dutch-born youth players.

We are signing players from PSV,AZ and Feyenoord.I do think the Dutch FA should ban contracts at 15 as this would stop a lot of poaching between clubs.I really dont think 15 year old kids should be getting money at this age.Stick to 16.

If our 15 year olds want money so much they join Feyenoord then they are no loss. Really hugh talents are in our 1st team at 16 or 17 ie Hato and before that Gravenberch and de Ligt.Dont think Grootfaam or Simeon are in that class.

One big problem this season was the U19 squad was big and loads of them are not special and kids from our U17 should have been promoted quicker ie Ouanzane Nash and 1 or 2 others.

All this youth transfer talk the deadline for transfer of youths is next Weds. Hope Simeon does not join Feyenoord we will soon know.

Feyenoord have signed one of our Jong player Boerhout a forward. His contract was not extended and he struggled at Jong Ajax level so now he is going to Jong Feyenoord in U21 league , a lower step.

U19 back up striker Kovacs has signed for AZ for 3 years . He scores a few mainly as sub and Ajax have let him go.

PS just seen a stupid headline AZ steals a talented striker from Ajax. He was not going to be offered a contract by us and next season U19 there will be much competition and at best he will just be a sub as per this season thus Ajax released him.

U19's playing their 1st pre season match today and Simeon in at no 9 so clearly not going to Feyenoord.
