Excellent result - Setanta are showing it later on tonight so will have to pretend I don't know the result (in truth when it's not Ajax I always check first so as not to get unnecessarily distressed - for example the Roda/Fword game last week would have been just too much to bear... )

Yup... I watched the whole game and Heerenveen could and should have finished it. They had a lot of chances on the 3-0, but they didnt score. Then in the last 10 minutes poor defending made it 2-2.

Speaking of poor defending: Heerenveen has conceded so far 30 goals in just 13 games... Amazing. They're just behind the mighty FC Volendam, 33 goals.

F*ck me... NEC went 1-0 down within 100 seconds, in their UEFA Cup away game at Spartak Moscow, but in the dying minutes they very suddenly (and very unepxectedly) turned the game around: Van Beukering 1-1 (85') and Schöne 1-2 (87').

That's amazing. What a fantastic win for them.

Schalke got one back but it ends up 2-1 full time. Great match for Twente. What's the story with the Bundesliga teams in Europe this season? they have been absolutely terrible!!

Those northern teams should learn how to close the shop... Last week that was Heerenveen that wasted a 2-0 lead.

Groningen starting to leak a few goals now. They were at only 6 against until the last two weeks.

It is really tight at the top Twente won 6-2 and Psv are not far behind now.
