The finals of the promotion/relegation ply-offs are:
ADO Den Haag vs RKC Waalwijk
FC Zwolle vs De Graafschap
Indeed: no VVV-Venlo. They collapsed at ADO Den Haag on Wednesday (2-0) and went down to the First Division.
Excelsior and VVV relegated; one more hurdl to go for De Graafschap (I hope they'll stay up, by the way).

Well I've been wanting RKC to be promoted all season which wasn't that popular a choice on here from memory - I expect everyone will be joining my support for the next game at least now though....

Yeah, kind of, although Den Haag do have a wonderful new ground. And I like the clubs with larger grounds to play in the Eredivisie.
On the other hand: would be great to see Den Haag in the First Division for some more time.

It's a shame MVV collapsed. I'd like to see them in the top division.

My "support" for RKC is really just down to the Wimbledon-like tale of their emergence in Dutch football - I like the underdogs to hold their own as well.
ADO certainly do have a good ground though - but isn't it just funny [/i] to see them and their meathead fans in the Jupiler league......

Yes, that Steve McLaren, ex manager of Euro 2008 favourites, oh ooops forgot they didn't qualify:drecul.gif:
Well suppose Twente is a step up from managing Ingerlaaaand.

The only thing I care to see is if he can get them into the Champion's League group stages next year, something we couldn't the last few years, that seems like it may be his focus. Seemed like a lot of the squad would be leaving (Engelaar, NKufo, Douglas), and I can see him being a miserable failure there if that's the case.

I think we are all indebted to the Irish Yellow Pages website which has finally confirmed something we have all long suspected.

Sometimes it's such a shame that most of you don't understand Dutch...
The first half of this video is absolutely hilarious. It's from local Rotterdam TV. On the day of the club's centenary they went out to De Kuip to ask some of the fans: "Feyenoord is 100 years old. So, in what year was the club founded?"

lol, well you don't need to understand much Dutch to see some dumb people in action - it was on their shirts a couple of years back as well "founded 1908"
