Until now I don't rate Heitinga very high as a trainer yet.
Also this is not the most talented U19 squad we've ever seen. Despite all this Ajax should just be able to defeat the Bayern youth.

6-0 was a great score indeed and I note Unuvar scored within 10 mins of his debut.Clearly a hugh talent.


PS. I have not got a ticket for AZ ,having been told it was sold out back in mid August I have not tried since.

True. It was sold out pretty quick.
But there is a spare season ticket near the stand of the press available. You'll be able to see the coaching of Erik ten Hag right in front of you.

Our U19 drew 2-2 in Munich this afternoon against Bayern U19 in CL U19.Lang scored on 2 mins but from 2-1 down Botman got a late equaliser.

I saw highlights of the game - seems like they have the same problems as the big team -- i.e. they don't convert their golden opportunities, and periodic loss of concentration on defence leading to cheap goals by the opposition.

These are all blocked. I found a Portuguese stream. Brobey looks really good, strong and fast and it's easy to see why he is a talent. Hard shot came off the crossbar. Silly Yellow Card pickups by both fullbacks who were out of position and fouled their winger. Ajax have had some dangerous turnovers but Benfica couldn't score. I think both teams are evenly matched.

Not really a country with "freedom of press" in all occasions.

3-0 is the final and the score flattered Ajax. It was a total mystery that Benfica could not find the back of the net. Lots of last ditch defending and lucky bounces for Ajax. I thought Benfica were the more dangerous of the two teams but that's football for you. Sometimes lucky is better than good.

I missed today as I was busy gardening and painting ,catching up with jobs as the clocks go back at the weekend ,winter begins!

A good scoreline and the only starter who has not appeared for Jong Ajax this season is J Timber.Brobbey Taylor Gravenberch,Eddine and Hansen all 16 .Will try and watch the remaining games as all are shown on you tube.

We have a lot of talented lads aged 16 born in 2002 but we have plenty born in 2003. Dutch U16 playing 2 friendlies this week v Hungary and 9 players from Ajax.

Some survey reveals of all the players in the top leagues in Europe last year Ajax supplied the most from their academy. They base it on a player spending 3 years at a club between 15 and 21.This of course is different to real home grown talent where I would say you have to be in the academy before your 16th birthday.

Still no surprise our academy is producing more than any other in Europe.

Our U19 v NEC was live on Ajax TV youtube today and won 5-0 . I watched until half time when it was 4-0 Brobbey 3 Hansen 1 goal. I then went to watch my local team but didn't miss much in the 2nd half .Dest scored a 5th.

The U-19s drew with Benfica today. I could not get a stream since they are not available in the US. Ajax were up 3-1 and then Botman handled a ball in the box for a penalty and Benfica got a late goal to level it. Judging by the comments on Ajax Showtime there were some major defensive blunders.

It's now 4/4 that we mirror the U19's result. Check it out.

I could not get the stream.Looks like 2 lost points but we are a point ahead of Benfica and Bayern.

At 3-2 I note Brobbey was then taken off so we finished with no striker. Most of the side who started are Jong Ajax with just Brobbey,El Maach and the Timbers who play for our U19 regularly.

Interesting that 15 year old midfielder Naci Unuvar came on late ,he is still not in our U19 league team but has made 2 brief appearances for the U19 in Europe.Hugh prospect and wants to stay with Ajax when he is 16.

Like last Saturday our U19's are on the Ajax Tv youtube chanel tomorrow.This does work here in Uk. Game v Volendam

Like last Saturday I will only watch the 1st hour as my local side are playing at home again (Worthing FC play in the 7 th level of football and get over a 1000 each game)

Horrible bad wet day here in Worthing so I watched all the U16 game but not very good Feyenoord U16 won 2-0 in a game of very few chances .Not sure Ajax created any. Possibly doesnt help this was their 3rd game in 8 days but none really caught the eye.

Would point out that just about all this side are born 2003 but the 5 or 6 best from this age group all play regularly in the U17 ie Unuvar the best of them. Gravenberch Brobbey ,Taylor Hansen all born 2002 all playing at an older level.

I was looking forward to seeing Unuvar for a whole game but he is playing with U19 ,his first league game at that level.

U-19 starting lineup today is loaded with prospects: Unuvar, Brobbey, Timeber Twins, Taylor, van Gelderen, and Hansen. It might be the best of all the development teams right now.

If my American pals are watching the No7 Pynadath is American .His parents have been here about 3 years and have high flying jobs with an International company.They were in Madrid for a year or 2 and Pynadath played at Real youth.
His cross was turned in for an OG. Left winger Hoogewerf looks very good and after Unuvar seems the best of our 15 year olds.
