He seemed close to breaking through to the first team, he was training with them this pre-season and getting some minutes. Although I don't know how he was rated, it seems that he's in one of the most needed positions and could have had a shot at something.

my sensation is that at least rommedahl, kennedy and ogararu will stay at MvB conditions. not too bad, if it's good for them. the others in my opinion are absolutely useless (not schilder, but from now on I can't see too much space for him) and to put somewhere

It's funny, I was watching an old Milan match on Fox Soccer Channel yesterday evening while I was doing my foot exercises and there was Luque scoring a magnificent goal for Deportivo. Too bad this transfer never worked out and that we are now stuck with him.

According to news sources in Spain and Romania these deals may well be finalized this weekend. Would be good news.

Ogararu and Luque will go tomorrow and almost certainly Leonardo.

I would also imgine we will loan out Manucharyan leaving just Rommedahl Kennedy and Delorge. Delorge has not played since November and has indicated he is happy to stay training with the reserves until the January window.Ajax may be happy with that but just as easy to pay him off.

It would not be the end of the world if Rommedahl was left as he can still be useful as a sub.

Kennedy will possibly fix himself up as well.

Ajax will have done well if they end up getting rid of about 8/9 players in this last week.

I must have missed this when it happened, but Michael Krohn-Dehli appears to have left Ajax, too. He joined his former club, Brøndby in Denmark.

It is saying that he will not likely go today. Another "Zlatan move" would make the Ajax Supporters' unrest of last year look just like practice! However, if someone offered a Striker in return along and/or a boatload of cash and Ajax have someone all lined up......

Donovan Slijngard has gone on loan to Sparta for the season. With Vertonghen Urby and Schilder all playing left back the lad was not going to get much playing time.

van der Wiel came in with about 15 minutes to go on Saturday to replace Silva. I expect he will be the first choice substitute either in the middle or at right fullback.

We will face serious problems if Oleguer is suspended and Vermaelen sidelined with an injury. Imagine: Silva-vdWiel-Anita-Vertonghen wihen facing an opponent like Twente, Groningen or PSV.

Alderweireld will come into the squad soon. He looked ok v Inter. He had never trained with the firsts but was thrown in at the deep end v Zlatan and Adriano.Anita can also play right back but we do seem an experienced player short in defence.
