Besides, there is NO urge to sell tickets at the ArenA....
So let's sign a hard working midfielder. The Vieira type would be perfect.
Markus Rosenberg

The Rosenberg thing is starting to look serious... Ajax Netwerk has a link to a story in Sweden's
Aftonbladet and there is now also a report on
Sky Sports (link is also up on the Ajax USA homepage), which I think is based on the
Aftonbladet story, assuming that
Sportbladet is the sports section of
Aftonbladet.
Yannis out; Babel, Charisteas and Rosenberg our three strikers for the new season...? It's possible.

I'd prefer to offload Charisteas instead of Yannis

Yeah, it's the sports section of Aftonbladet. They like to print gossip, but not like the shameless Brits ( :D ).
If they say that Ajax had Olsen (is it Olsen??) on the terraces of Malmö five times I believe them. The last time he was there with reps of Malmö and Rosenbergs agent. So, I think its serious.
HOWEVER, and I have stated this several times, Rosenberg himself will not be a saviour. He needs good passes. He himself is a good passer (had three assists the last game) and a good finisher. He is fast and he has a good shot. The no9 qualities will take some learning though.
We can go on forever about it. He's a good, talented footballer and can still learn. He does not have Zlatan potential though.

I do believe that was/is me, assisted by Blind3. All I will say in my defence my Lord is that is it a coincidence that last year we won the title with our idol on board and then this year we have been absolutely crap when he wasn't here. It must be a coincidence, musn't it? :nooo:

Another sensible suggestion although I'd rather keep both. I'm no 'statto' but I'd say Yannis has been on the pitch far less but scored far more than Charisteas this season.
Welcome to the club - YANNIS :eusa_dance:

Who has connections with the Ajax board?

Whoever has strong connections with the ajax board or whoever works in the amsterdam arena, please tell review the performances of Arnold kruyswijk, I met a guy at the de Hems who lives 6 doors away from Arny, and when I asked him to try and convince him to join Ajax, he told me that Arny would have no hesitation in joining them aslong as they can qualify for the champions league. So can some1 do the same and ask the other party (Ajax).

Danny Blind was reportedly in the stands together with Rosenberg's agent yesterday, as Malmö FF lost 2-1 to FC Copenhagen in the Royal League. Malmö's goal was scored by, that's right, Marcus Roseberg.

I would be very surprised if this deal didn't go through now. Ajax representatives have seen him several times now - and with Blind probably being final call on the deal I think we're closing in on signing time.
5.5 MEUR will be a likely prize tag.

You're right. If the actual head-coach of Ajax is on the stands to watch a player, it surely means they're about to make a move. In the ealier stages of the process they will send a scout or something.
Prepare for a second Swede at Ajax (Lindgren's fit again, by the way; recovered from his injury and back in Young Ajax).

We may have also 3rd Swede. As told Swedish newspaper "Expressen" Ajax scouts watched
Dusan Djuric and it is possible, that he may join us in nearest transfer window.
PS:Per, can you told us about this player? Is he worth to buy? And (first of all) is it true, that Ajax wants him? (I don't know what kind of newspaper is "Expressen", so it may be another rumor). Thanks in advance.

Expressen is the same type of paper as Aftonbladet. That is, they don't really hesitate to print gossip, but most of the time you understand when they have tabloids as sources. If they satate that someone has been to watch Dusan, someone probably has been tp watch Dusan. The degree of interest is nothing I'm aware of though.
Dusan is a quite samll and technical player. Godd passer. Something of Wesley Sneijder I would say. He's been playing for U21 for some time and is the "hub" of Halmsatad's midfield. Still very young and can probably become very good.
I, for one, do not see a place for him in Ajax's midfield, unless Pienaar and Sneijder go (or at least one of them). I would pin Dusan as the no10 type. But can probable play the other spot on midfield that isn't too defensive as well.
That's the low down from me. Here are some stats taken from
www.halmstadbk.se
Born 1984-09-16
180 cm
73 kg
Nat. apps : 1 A, 12 U, 3 J
Allsvenskan apps: 48
Goals: 4
But....I for one don't think he'll come this season...AZ were also reported to be interested a couple of weeks ago. We'll see were he winds up.
