anyway... can we get a Huntelaar type of striker??? we can get 5 million from this guy plus some more and get a decent striker with no northern african heritage, which means less character problems

I'll second that -- no room for those kind of characterizations whatsoever. Character problems are not exclusive to any particular geographical region -- the world being what it is, there are going to players with "character problems" in whatever geographical region souras84 comes from, just as well.

You should have used another word, like Demy de Zeeuw: "temperament". Then no one would have been hurt I guess...

I never intented to say smth with a racist meaning. I meant that as we say that the Germans, always fight till the end. The Northern Europeans are "colder" and tireless. The Northern Africans such as Algeria, Morocco, Egypt, Libya, are more rebellious, hot headed more than usual. I dont see anything wrong with my opinion.

Something stinks about some fans lack of support for El Hamdaoui.
It seems hardly arguable that we would have been better off with him yesterday against S.Moscow.

It certainly would have been a very different match with El Hamdaoui, i don't know if it would have been better...

The last couple of games I saw him in, he was a detriment to the team -- just my opinion -- slow of foot, impeded the flow of the fast-breaking counter attacks by not moving the ball to the right man and not moving it quickly enough. As far as I'm concerned, his absence is no loss -- an opinion which has nothing to do with what part of the planet he comes from.

Agree that he seemed to break up moves rather than contribute to them in the last few weeks.
Having said that, he is a proper striker versus Siem, and we might have played less "well" overall last night if he'd been there, but with his nose for goal I think something would have gone in.
So to me it's a shame he wasn't on the pitch (for this particular game).

I'm in no way putting into question de Boer's decision to kick out someone who refuses to follow the game plan by the way ...

It is a problem as he did not play well in the last couple of games but he is a striker with a nose for goal.As I just posted on the match report we have no other alternative as Cvitanch is clearly not rated and Castillion is still getting match fit and form after a long injury.

i dont care if he stays or goes. as long as we get through the moscow game. I guess that if he was in siems position last night he could have scored one goal

With Willem II on Sunday, it will be interesting to see de Boer's selection. I would start Cvitanich up front and see what he can do as a prelude to playing him next week in Moscow.

you are in my head!!! even if he succeeds against willem II that will be hardly an indication of a succesfull appearence vs Moscow... Hopefully though I turn out to be wrong and he bags 2 after an ebecilio or mickey or eriksen pass
