Players Leaving Ajax

Arsenal want Tommy Setford ,the youngest and most talented of the bros.He and Charlie are due to be Jong Ajax goalies this season . Both are England youth Ints and have indicated they will play in England in future. Arsenal offer 400,000 plus bonuses but if he leaves next year when his contract is up we get 400,000 in training fees.

No way will he make our 1st team in the next 2 years so we should try and get somewhere near 1m .I read we want 2.5m. We are left with brother Charlie and Reverson,who is not contracted as Jong goalies. De Graaff ,who left for Utrecht, probably saw no future with both Setford's ahead of him but he is better than those 2 who remain.What a mess we now need to get a new goalie for Jong.

This is a real tough call when your #1 keeper is so young (Ramaj). Pasveer will likely be gone after this season and we still don't know whether Rulli leaves. Gorter has not been convincing but may be the default #2/3

Jong Ajax defender Alvaro Henry leaves on a free to Austrian 2nd div team Licht-Loidi Lafnitz. With Chahid,Chourak and Boerhout all getting squad numbers this week the only 2 Jong without new clubs Martha and Agougil.

We really need a few 1st teamers to be sold but surely not Ramaj.

Kroes was interviewed yesterday and noted that the club has to set aside transfer income to cover operating expenses because they don't get any Champions League money this season. This will put a limit on what they can pay incoming players. I suspect that high value players will be sold if possible. They will want to keep Brobbey but Bergwijn will leave.

Part of this I did not see coming. Farioli has told Tahirovic, Sosa, Wijndal and Vos, that they are all suplus and should look for new clubs. The first three I get, but Vos was very highly rated in the academy. Henderson only has one more year on his contract and I guess that Farioli prefers Mannswerk over Vos. Curious.

Hope that Vos goes on loan although mention of Ipswich Coventry West Brom want him . The other 3 are surplus but so is Medic and Rasmussen .

MF is still a hugh problem Berghuis and Henderson with their hugh salaries should go .V D Boomen too slow and Mannsverk no better than our own talents.We cannot sell all of them of course.

Agree about the MF, i guess the current first choice is something like Taylor, Berghuis and Henderson. That is a long way from good enough, based on past performances.

I do think Mannsverk is a decent player but only as a purely defensive MF. His defensive positioning is very good. However this type of midfielder doesn’t always work at Ajax.

We actually have 34 1st team squad at the moment.Includes injured V A Dongen,and Avila .With the 4 listed yesterday a clear out of fringe players is needed. ie Gorter Unuvar Rasmussen also.

Get rid of all those 7 plus the 2 injured wont be involved ie Avila will get loaned out when fit and V A Dongen will need to play Jong we then have 25 left who can all play.

However of these 25 some are not good enough and need to be sold with new bought in but thats not easy in just over 4 weeks.Apart from Traore on a free and 3 players all out on loan sold nothing much has happened so far.

Martha has now signed on a free for Beerschot of Belgium . Still not sure whether they will consider him a winger or full back but never good enough for us .

Unuvar has been added to the list who can go but today it reports Rensch can leave.He has only a 1 year contract left and I wonder if he has demanded too much to renew.Nothing has been reported about a renewal but we can assume Ajax have been talking and given he is nothing special Ajax must get some money for him ,ie 5m max.

Rulli interests Marseilles and we want 8m back but opening offer is way below. 5 or 6m would be acceptable.

With nothing happening with sales this is going to be like last summer and we bring in players late.Having to play 6 qualifiers is a nightmare but beating the Greeks will mean we will be in Europe. Our game on 25th v Sittard is postponed .

Hope things start to happen but defence is the biggest problem. Hato is not a LB ,the Serbs goal last week came because Hato just left the right winger completely unmarked.

Things may be starting to move .Rulli has not yet gone but going. Medic wanted by Hamburg and Bochum .We want 3m Bochum just want a loan so nothing will happen at the moment.Wolves sold a winger to Chelsea and seriously interested in Forbs!

Rensch has not agreed a new contract and currently can go on a free next July. Ajax should sell him this month .If he does not want to extend dont play him once the deadline is over, he is not a good enough full back and wont be missed.

Biggest problem of last summers signings is that some were no better than our own youth and Forbs,along with Mannsverk Tahirovic and Gaaei were all no better. Forbs was and is no better than Godts but both are good back ups as Bergwijn played on the left.Forbs has speed and not a lot else and I would sell him and hope to get 15m.

We will clearly struggle to get fees for some of our unwanted players.Torino want Sosa on loan with an option .No way can we accept anything other than money for him and Medic.Tahirovic will probably be a loan offer too but we need the money. 6m Sosa, 2m Medic and 5m Tahirovic They cost 18 m my figures are what I think we may get.

Vos,Unuvar as youth players may well go on loan but that is acceptable.Wijndal I see being the only senior going on loan as no one will pay even 5m for him let alone the 10m we paid as he has struggled for 2 years and on a hugh salary.

Last summers mess will take 2 years to sort.2022 summers mess has taken 2 years.We have not got our money back on sales so far and Wijndal and Bergwijn will get sold at loses.(Kaplan the only 1 who may make a profit and Brobbey.)

Rulli has now gone to OM for 4m. Expect movement of fringe players this week. Vos Tahirovic and Sosa all attracting interest and PSV want Wijndal.

Heerenveen want Jong RCD Aertssen.He has had couple of seasons but is not good enough to make it with us.
