New Players for Ajax

It's being stated that Lucca would be the first Italian player to ever play at Ajax. Is that true? I don't remember any in the last 20-30 years actually.

yup, first italian at ajax. should be interesting how that works out. never seen him play but we are not taking a huge risk with the loan

We need a quality RB and a back up RCD as Schuurs wants out. We also need to invest in a goalie.Gorter looked weak ,Steks is injured and Pasveer,who was superb until his injury ,has not played for 5 months and is getting older. Setford is out until Christmas and Jong only have 2x18 year olds ie De Graaf and Kremers.

We've reportedly agreed verbally with Club America to sign their RB Jorge Sanchez for 5M Euros.

de Ligt initiall played LCB during the Europa League run as Sanchez was at RCB. He also played on the left quite a lot for Juve.

Ahmetcan Kaplan has signed to 2027 for 9.6m . He is a 19 year old left footed but can play on the right at CD.

We need a new goalie if Gorter is going and now a replacement for Antony with Ziyech mentioned. I have no problem with him and still have faith Ihattaren will come through .

Yeah I think that's correct. He had a howler against ManU the other day. Just kept watching Sancho control the ball, take a touch, take another touch, look up and then shoot. VVD didn't move one inch closer to Sancho in order to reduce his shooting angles. Also, Allison was stuck behind VVD and couldn't get a good look at what was happening.

Word on the street is that Chelsea want 44M Euros for Ziyech. I personally don't think that's prudent business for us at that price and at Ziyech's age. He's 29 right now and won't have any decent sell-on value after a couple seasons with us.

no way. how did his price increase since he moved to Chelsea? he doesn’t even play regularly. It’ll be an issue finding replacement at this stage and I hope there are back up options

Calvin Stengs is mentioned as back up. Thankfully we have Timber ,the best defender and Bergwijn the best attacker in the league.Our squad is weaker than last season but we cannot pay 40m for Ziyech.

I don't want us to get Stengs. He was great for a team like AZ, but I'm not sure he adds anything for us. Kluivert also has been mentioned.

Also someone who's not been mentioned but could be available for cheap is El Ghazi.

I am amazed that nobody's talking about AZ's Karlsson. And I'm not talking only about us, but other teams also. From what I've seen from him, he looked like a very interesting player.

Club is sending a bad message to the youth players. I want to v see van Axel Dongen and Hansen up. The club is based on the academy but now seem to be just interested in transferring players in.

I thought about this a little more last night and I kinda agree with Orange14. If the goal is to win the Eredivisie and get past group stages of the CL, we should be able to do it with Berghuis/Kudus/Chico/Hansen/Van Dongen.

If the goal is to win the Eredivisie and make a deep run in the CL, I think we need to get Ziyech.

I don't think in any of the equations we actually need to get Kluivert and El Ghazi. They are not going to bring any tools which will be better than what the first group offers.

Talk of Stengs but again like El Ghazi and Kluivert I would use Conceicao,Hansen and even V A Dongen, Kudus could be used but I see Club Brugge still fancy him and if Ziyech were to come Kudus could go out on loan.

Would love to see Ihatteren on that right flank but who knows when he will be playing.

Given how things are developing, Ihatteran had a golden chance to be an influential player this season. Now he is in a perilous state of limbo which is self-inflicted. Just too sad.

Seem to have signed an Austrian MF Florian Grillitsch on a free for 1 year. Was with Hoffenheim and Feyenoord wanted him . He is a DMF so cover for Alvarez.

A s for Antony's replacement Ajax seem in a mess so will see what happens today.
