Seemed a little harsh for a straight red.

He would have shattered the leg had Sinkgraven not jumped up. Studs up and a straight red card all the way.

It did start as a studs up dive, but by the time he got to Sinkgraven, he had pointed the foot down. I did have a pretty bad stream, so can't be too certain and only saw it from one angle.

Opponents lose; Ajax play CRAP and give away, no, GIFT a goal; Traore and Ziyech STILL in the team although playing EXTREMELY badly....and to think that a win today and a win AT HOME against Feyenoord "would" have given Ajax the title....I repeat my comments from earlier in the season...

A very weak performance, the only player with any real credit can be Sinkgraven...I suspect it will be a quite coach back to Amsterdam!!!

Slight touch by the Groningen lad but Onana then kicked the grass. Not sure Vermeer ever gave away a poorer goal.

Even without that still think we would only have draw. Bosz is not the man for this job and his use or non use of subs all season is very poor.Ziyech and Traore should have been taken off at HT.

They don't concede goals at home and don't have such a bad away record with 1 loss 2 wins and 2 draws in Europe in their last five games, they won 5-0 at home today, albeit against a minor opposition. Ajax away record is 1 loss 2 wins and 2 draws in their last 5 away games in Europe. Btw Copenhagen hardly concede goals at home, the next game could be bad for Ajax. If Bosz omits Onana, Ziyech and Traore, that leaves him with only 6 of the "first" team...BUT, if Schone can pull the strings as a deep midfielder, de Light & Veltman at centre defence, Tete at RB, Kluivert on the right, and maybe Boer in goal...they could scrape a draw....BUT, work has to be done with Dolberg as he CANNOT hold the ball up!!!!

Veltman is suspended for the match because of a stupid Yellow Card in the 2nd Legia game.
We only have Boer and a bunch of U-19 keepers as back up to Onana. IMO, Onana has done a credible job this season. Also don't everyone get ahead on Sierhuis. He's not ready for first team football yet.

Onana no excuse ,I dont remember Vermeer ever giving away a goal as bad as that and he was the worst goalie we have ever had.Onana needs a break,he has done ok but maybe a game off

Defence nothing we can do .

Midfield I would play all 3 kids but Schone to stay in and all 3 kids to get playing time. Ziyech underperforms regularly.

Upfront I would put Traore on a plane back to London ,don't want to see this one trick show pony play for us again.

Klaassen scores goals so just play him up front and give Dolberg a rest. Neres can get 30 mins for Kluivert.

We are now suffering for a poor transfer summer.We needed to buy an experienced striker for Milik but ended up with a show pony.We needed more creativity in midfield but once the season started with Willem defeat Roda draw and Rostock we panicked and bought Ziyech. W e have 3 young talents now all ready and Ziyech was not needed. We needed an experienced goalie and ended up with a long term injured Krul.

It was a mistake by Onana, no doubt. With Sparta doing us a favour, we should have won this game and Onanas mistake made that difficult.

But this was one mistake that led to a goal. How many goals he has prevented in the short time this young kid has been our number one. I'd say plenty. Including a penalty.

I'd say give the kid a break. All n all he is a good keeper, that still has plenty of potential to improve his game.

I do agree he has been good so far ,today wasn't just a mear mistake. I would rest him for Thursday not drop him. He and Dolberg were not due to play much this season but have ended up playing most games and are now in need of getting the odd game off when we are playing twice a week.

If my reaction to him was a bit over the top I wont change on Traore or Ziyech. Traore is a waste of space ,a few flash goals .We are paying Chelsea 2m euros for him.Kluivert being under 18 can only earn a max 30000 euros pa . Ok he did little today but he still did more than Traore imo.

Ziyech is not producing the type of form he did at Twente and blows hot and cold. I really do not see Nouri doing less than Ziyech at present although Ziyech still scores the odd flash goal( just as well as we have 3 forwards who have scored 6 goals between them over 10 games since the winter break)

It's clear Ajax are having a dip in form. Coming at the most critical time of the season. Bosz has dropped players that didn't perform before, I'm sure he'll do it again he substituted Traore and Ziyech early in the second half, that says something. van de Beek should be a good replacement same with Kluivert.

Surely this game was a wake up call? With the suspensions there will be technically rotations in the next game, I fear that game against FC Copenhagen will be pretty bad. Like 4-1 or 3-1 or 2-0 or 3-0 defeat

I was angry with Onana yesterday but 100% agree although a terrible blunder the blame lies with the other 10,not blaming Kluivert and de Ligt as they are really kids.

Onana has done well this season with some good saves and will be a top goalie .I still say without his blunder we probably would still have drawn the game .His goal actually stirred us in to life ,well sort of.

Agree Bosz does not rotate his squad . When all our fit he picks the same 11 and subs are usually just for the last 10 mins unless injuries.Taking off the crap Traore on 59m yesterday was early for Bosz.

Looking at our subs, due to injuries Riedewald did get 3 games in a row and was just looking to get some rythmn but now injured. de Ligt is different he just fitted into the team last week and looks like he should just stay there with Sanchez. Tete now has to play on Thursday with just a couple of Jong games since Christmas. Veltman has been poor but always gets picked .Westermann may have to play but one Jong game a month ago! If Tete or Westermann cock up on Thursday we cannot blame them they have not played enough and will have no game rythmn.

Our 3 midfield kids get little meaningful playing time even though the main 3 ones are struggling.Cassierra gets little time even though Dolberg is struggling a bit.

So it looks like Onana was really fouled on the conceded goal. Nijhuis, the match official, said that after looking at the game replay it was a foul but that Onana was foolish for playing with the ball that far out. Nijhuis also did not have a clear look at the play. The Groningen forward also said that there was some minor contact. Anyway, it was a rash play from the keeper but even the best are not immune to this and I can remember a really bad play by Neuer of Bayern who is perhaps the best keeper in the world.

Agree with others about match rotation. Some of our players dress for the match and then look like they are glued to their seats on the substitutes bench. I really wanted to like Bosz but now don't think he is much an improvement over de Boer.
